It was 10 am and Arnav was sitting in the living room of Gupta Mansion and was talking to Shashi, while being pampered by Garima and Buaji since he was the damad of the house (son-in-law), he didn't liked it much, but at the same time he didn't minded it too, after all they had married their daughter to him, so doing something little like having a coffee was the least he could do.

"here's my Sankadevi" Buaji's voice interrupted their conversation and he turned his head to look at the direction where Buaji was looking and he saw her coming down the stairs, wearing a beautiful gray and red anarkali with a deep red dupatta handing on the left shoulder, hair left open

"beautiful" he thought

Once she reached the last step of the stairs, he saw her lifting the head and looking at his direction and he was welcomed with a warming smile, to which he smiled back, for the first time he didn't felt awkward and seems like she appreciated it because pink hues adorned her face. They didn't break the eye contact, till she didn't reach the couch next to his. He stood up and asked if she was ready, to which she simply nodded, then after greeting the rest of the family they left the house.

Currently they were driving back to Raizada Mansion, since they have left her parents' house, they hadn't said a word.

"he's a gentleman" she mentally appreciated him, remembering that he had opened the car's door and not just that, before closing the door, he had adjusted her dupatta which slipping from her shoulder, was hanging out of the car. She eyed at him from the corner of her eyes and after taking a long breath said, "Can I say something?" he slightly turned to look at her and before turning his gaze to the road spoke "sure"

"Since the wedding reception is tonight only and after that I don't think there are other functions or rituals, so I was thinking" she started, not seeing any reaction from his side she continued "to going back office in a few days, I've noticed that Dad needs help, do you have any problem?" she turned to look at him

"Why should I have?" he asked slightly turning to her

"I know you wouldn't but want to conform it" she replied securing a lock of hair behind the ear.

"Well I don't have any" he smiled at her warmly "I believe in equality, we'll never have an issue on it and I know you know that, so the real question, please?" he knew that he wasn't in the question ever and he was right because he heard her gasp, seems like the sharp brain is back in to action.

"I was thinking about Dadi and Maa, I mean going back to office so soon" she said pulling the left sleeve of the dress with the right hand nervously

"they'll have the weekends to spend with their daughter-in-law" he chucked, she relaxed and leaned back in the seat. And the silence filled the car again, but this time it wasn't an awkward one. She was happy that for the first time he understood her, that the problem was never him. She knows his family since childhood and was sure that they won't have problems with her being a working woman, but she wasn't sure on the fact if they would let her join the office after only few days of marriage, knowing well that every family has some expectations from their daughter-in-law. Arnav was not able to suppress the smile, first because he managed to surprise her by understanding her and second because her happy face was a sight to see.

"Can I ask you something?" she broke the silence again

"Who chose the color of your room?" she asked after seeing him nodding

"Me...You didn't like it?" he asked furrowing his brows, looking quizzically at her for a second.

"According to you" she half turned her body to him "which combination is better, black and red or black and green?" she asked without replying to his question
