"You're friends with Jimin?" I ask, as Jungkook enters my bedroom. "What?" He looks down at me with a confused expression, wondering why I'd randomly ask such a question."You have a message from him," I gesture over to his phone which still was still resting on the bed sheets beside me. He walks over to his phone and picks it up, reading the message with a small smile before putting it back down on the bed with the screen faced down. "Oh, yeah, we have some mutual friends," Jungkook scratches at the back of his neck, a habit I knew he had adopted for when he was nervous or lying.
"Do you think he could help me get a date with Yoongi?" I enquire excitedly. This was perfect. I was friends with Jungkook, who was friends with Jimin, who was friends with Yoongi. Why hadn't Jungkook told me about this sooner?
"I am officially banning you from saying his name for the rest of the day, actually no, make that ever," Jungkook rolls his eyes, choosing to ignore my question. My body sinks lower in the bed as he clambers up to sit beside me as I start playing the movie.
"Haven't we watched this already?" Jungkook groans as he lays his head down on my pillows. "Shut up, it's a good movie," I shrug and lay back beside him. We watch in silence as I get so lost in the movie that I don't even realise Jungkook falls asleep half-way through it. I look over at his sleeping form before turning the movie off with a heavy sigh. Once Jungkook was asleep there wasn't much point trying to wake him up, the boy could literally sleep through an earthquake.
-
"Wake up sleepyhead!" I hear Jungkook shout. My eyelids instantly fling open as I come face to face with Jungkook. I groan, squinting my eyes at the sunlight that flooded through the curtains. Jungkook was already dressed in his school uniform as he sat on the edge of the bed waiting for me to get up. When I don't move, he pulls the duvet off me, allowing any heat trapped under it to escape with it. I shoot him a death glare which he laughs at.
"Don't give me that look, we have ten minutes before we need to be out of that front door,"Jungkook crosses his arms over his chest, faking anger. "Whatever, mum," I smile, finally finding the energy to roll out of bed.
We walk to school, Jungkook dropping me off at my first lesson which I was dreading. I peered into the classroom to see Yoongi already sat in his seat staring into space. Giving myself a moment to build up my confidence, I enter the classroom and walk over to my desk with my head held high. As I get closer Yoongi looks up and I smile at him but he doesn't acknowledge me and instead trains his eyes back down on the desk in front of him. I take my seat as the lesson begins.
"This needs to stop," Yoongi whispers into my ear as the teacher stands with his back towards us. His low voice sends shivers down my spine and it takes everything in me to stop myself leaning into his touch. Turning to face him I could see the annoyed expression plastered across his face and the anger in his eyes. I shift back down in my seat avoiding his piercing gaze. We sit in silence for the rest of the lesson, the words of our teacher drifting over my head as my attention is solely on the boy beside me. As soon as the lesson ends Yoongi gets up and leaves without another word. When I exit the room Yoongi is stood with Jimin and Hoseok who laugh when they see me. I can feel tears pricking at my eyes as my whole face turns red out of embarrassment. Luckily, in the far distance I spot Jungkook who is taking his books out of his locker. I run up to him, wanting to be as far away as possible from Yoongi and his friends.
"What's up with you?" Jungkook asks as he observes me with a small pout on his face. "Nothing, just Yoongi's friends," I sigh as he pulls me into a hug. I feel him turn to look behind him where Jimin, Hoseok and Yoongi all stand, immersed in their conversation.
