the past week has been calm. felix was glad that he made the right choice to return and tutor joonsu. during dinner that night he noticed how much changbin cared for joonsu that he realized that everything seungmin said was real. changbin was just trying to protect his son from everyone and everything that could potentially hurt him.

changbin even apologize to him and said he would raise his pay. joonsu was glad that felix didn't have any more emergencies. felix never thought he would have a favorite student but with joonsu it felt almost like he wasn't working.

"lixie? lixie!"

felix blinked and realized he spaced out "yes joonie?"

joonsu giggled before asking "do you like daddy?"

felixs eyes widen because he didn't know how to respond or how that question came from joonsu. the only time he had seen them together was when felix would join them for dinner. he also didn't want to respond no because then joonsu could think bad of him if he didn't ask in the way felix understood the question.

"yes of course i like you and your dad and seungminine and hyunjin and baby hyeon." felix replied and let out a sigh of relief because he didn't know how else to answer even after all the training he had gone to become a tutor.

"silly goose!" joonsu said giggling after making felix smile at the sound.

"do you like like daddy?" joonsu asked once again placing his hands on either side of his face anxiously waiting for a response.

"i think he is a very nice person."

"i think daddy likes you!"

"why do you say that?"

"because he got you a surprise!"

"what surprise?"

"it wont be surprise if i tell you!" joonsu replies before asking felix for help on his english homework since he had been given a higher level reading after his improvements.

changbin walked into the house and noticed the coat on by the doorway. he was glad he made it before felix left, not that he expected it but in reality felix was supposed to be home at this time according to the contract.

it made changbin realize just how much he misinterpreted the situation. he remembers seungmins words on how he could have seen the nice things felix was doing and interpreted them wrongly. changbin also realized how much joonsu enjoyed felix company, it also made him guilty realizing how much his son longed for someone's presence.

"lixie! please! you said you would stay for dinner last time remember?"

changbin smiled as he heard his son once he made it to the living room. before felix could answer he noticed changbins presence and got up from the floor where he building a lego set.

"i think this time i cant stay joonie but maybe next-"

"why not?"

felix looked at changbin and then back to joonsu who looked at him with hopeful eyes that made anyone soft.

"i actually had plans that i made a few weeks ago." felix replied only to regret it once he felt how he lowered the mood.
