~I felt so much that I started to feel nothing~

Lydia:
Losers... the people who don't have friends and eat in the bathroom to avoid being noticed by the rest of the students. High School Musical was a lie I tell you, like it couldn't be a bigger lie.
Hello, my name is Lydia Calhoun, and I'm a loser. Yes, I am the most stereotypical teenager ever.I wear the thick black-rimmed glasses that cover half my face, over-sized clothes to cover up my insecurities that lie beneath the sweater, and I am always studying because I want good grades that should be normal though.
But, to top it all off as if I was from a tv show, I'm being targeted by the IT boys at school. Theo and Colton are their names, and Colton is my personal favorite...note my sarcasm, he's the boss, and he's the one who makes my life a living hell.
Thankfully, I'm leaving and won't be returning. Where you may be asking? Well lets just say its not to the suburbs of California or the mountains in Colorado. After I move in with him, he'll teach me how to protect myself cause in his well line of work its necessary. I'll be out of this hell hole in a couple hours and I've never been happier.
As he pins me to a locker, I hear Colton say, "Hey princess." I simply close my eyes and brace myself for the blows. "I'm going to get her good." I hear
"I-I'm g-gonna miss l-l-last period," I say coughing through the punches
"Drop her" I hear Colton say as Theo lets go of me dropping me to the floor
They go on their way as if nothing had happened. I lay on the floor, breathless and heaving, counting down the minutes before the final bell rings and my new life begins.
-
The final bell rang, and I dashed out of class to go pack up my locker; thanks to my grades and extra credit, I was able to graduate early, and I'm now free of this hell, despite being a junior. When I got to my locker, I took out the cardboard box I had in there and put it on the floor.
I was just dumping all of my school belongings and garbage into it, hoping to get out of there as quickly as possible so I wouldn't have to see... them. Though I spoke too soon because, as I suspected, I was slammed into the locker next to mine right away.
"And what do you think you're doing princess." Colton snarls as he looks at me
"leaving you knob," I said not caring cause I will never have to see him again
"What did you just say," he says shocked and angry
"I graduated today bitch...I'm gone for good," I said with a snarky smile. I didn't have time before he punched me in the stomach causing me to fall to the ground
When I stood up and returned to my locker, they were surprised because I never fight back, particularly against Colton. As I packed the last book from my locker and slammed the door, I could feel the stares from behind me.
As I push through them, I look Colton in the eyes and wipe the blood from my nose. They didn't try to stop me, and I'm genuinely shocked they didn't put up a bigger fight. I walked out of the crowded halls and drove home as quickly as I could.
When I arrived home, there was a large moving truck parked in my driveway. I park next to it and walk up to the car's storage compartment, where my father was waiting for me.
"DAD!" I scream and wrap my arms around him in an embrace. Regardless of what he does for a living, he has been the greatest father ever.
"Are you ready, sweetheart?" With a devious smile on his face, and I respond with one of my own. Goodbye, Virginia, and hello Los Angeles.

After we had moved into my new apartment, we went to an abandoned house. This is where I was going to learn how to protect myself and learn to fight.
Is it possible that I forgot to say what my dads job is? My father's profession, is a bit different than most. My father is a mob boss.
We entered and I expected it to be filthy and smell like feet, but the inside was nothing like the outside.
Within, the fighters had access to a large ring, a full training space, and a sparring area with seats lining the walls. You couldn't tell what this was from the outside, because you had to go through a bouncer to get in, so it was a safe environment.
We entered a private sparring area, where a strong man was waiting for me. He had a beard that was growing but not very long, and he seemed to be in his late 30's.
"Miss, please accept my warmest greetings. We've learned a lot about Lydia "He says contradicting what I expected him to say based on his demeanor.
"Hello there," I said smiling
"Today is the first day of training, I'm gonna teach you how to fight, spar and kill," he says
"K-Kill?" I ask With such a look of apparent bemusement on my face, I must look like a lost puppy. I then proceed to look at my father with the and "I didn't sign up for this" face
"You won't ever need to its just safety precautions." My dad says giving me some relief
"Well first off we have to do something very important," he says looking serious
"What will that be?" I ask
"You'll need a code name. It's for your own safety, and you'll sound cooler as a result "he says, smirking a little, making me laugh
I thought about it for a while and came up with the perfect name; it was something that had been on my mind for a while and I believe now is the best time to use it.
"I'm gonna go with......"
