You had decided to leave Vincent's personal life alone. If he wanted to tell you, and he would eventually, he would tell you. It wasn't worth risking the relationship. As much as the mystery was poking at you, you let it go.

That afternoon you didn't get far with the job searching. You wanted something in town, possibly even close to where Vincent worked. Then you could carpool in the mornings and save some gas. But nothing seemed interesting or worth doing with the amount of pay.

Astrid yelped and you could hear her servos whir. You glanced over at her and a banner popped out of her. "You can do this!"

"Woah. I didn't know you could do that." You picked up the dog and the banner sunk back in. You heard the door open and you looked to find Vincent arriving home.

"Hey babe. How did the job searching go?" Vincent wandered over to the couch and plopped down next to you.

"You didn't tell me things came out of her." You held Astrid up in the air and she barked and wagged her tail.

"Well I wanted some things to be a surprise silly." He replied while petting her on the head. You sat Astrid down and she wondered to the end of the couch.

"Back to my question baby."

"Oh yeah," you said, leaning against his chest. "Not good if I'm being honest. All the jobs here are all dumb."

Vincent laughed at my response. "Yeah I know how that is. Don't worry baby just find something you'll think is interesting for you and do it. Getting paid will just be a plus." He booped your nose and hugged you tight. You smiled into chest.

"Now, are you hungry? Cause I'm hungry." He said, with that beautiful smile. Your heart melted and you giggled. "C'mon. Let's go make dinner. Maybe we can mess around a bit after." He said with a wink as he pulled you off the couch. Your cheeks burned as you went into the kitchen.

~Later that night~

As you rested your head on Vincent's chest, you felt calmed by the sound of his heartbeat. You lightly brushed your hand over his chest. It felt... comforting. You felt more and moved your hand to his stomach. The same feeling. Comforting. It wasn't hard with muscles or too squishy. You felt his hand slip onto yours.

"Having fun dear?" He softly said into your hair. Your face started to heat up as he kissed the top of your head.

"I was just admiring hon." You replied squeezing his hand. You felt him lightly chuckle.

"We should sleep baby. I gotta get up early." Vincent said with a final kiss goodnight and pulled you closer. You pulled the blanket up closer and began to doze off.

"I love you, y/n."

"I love you too"
