chapter 11

I wrote this at 1 am while eating chocolate and drinking Dr Pepper let's GO
Denki's POV

Shinso apparently ended up getting four hours of sleep and I was very proud of him for that. I wasn't looking forward to another day of being quarantined in the dorms, but I had to deal with it.

They left at the usual time and I finished cleaning at about 10:15. I played Minecraft with Eri for awhile until she got bored and we had a fight with light sabers! I let her win because I'm pretty nice if I do say so myself.

For lunch I made a pizza in the oven because Momo showed me how and I even practiced a few nights ago. I called Shinso at the usual time and this time he sat with the Bakusquad, not the Emosquad. I was glad he was trying to become better friends with everyone.

Yesterday he sat with the Dekusquad! I was so proud of him for being social, but he probably ignored everyone except Deku and Todoroki.

"Hey, Shinso!" I call through the phone. He looks at the camera to show he's listening. "What's your hero name?" I hear someone say "ooh, yeah!" in the background. "Oh... That..." He rubs the back of his neck. I know he does that when he's nervous so I slightly regret asking. "Puppet Master." He looks away nervously.

"Why are you embarrassed? That's awesome!" Mina says trying to pump him up. He half smiles and mutters "thanks." "Yeah dude, that's pretty cool!"

The lunch period ended quickly, so we said our farewells and so Eri and I made a fort. We took the biggest blankets, piled them up, and I got some chairs from the dining room. Eri got some clips you would use for bags of chips and we worked together to create the best fort possible.

When it was done, we crawled underneath it and smiled at our creation. I got some pillows to put in there and Eri brought some of her stuffed animals to keep us company. We laid down on our stomachs and I turned on the TV to the kids channel. "Which way is the ocean?" Dora asks obviously pointing in the direction of the ocean. Dora is a dumbass but me being the child I am played along. Even if Dora is really stupid I still like the show. She passes the vibe check.

After watching various kids shows, I hear the door click and immediately turn my head to face the entrance. Mina gasps and runs over to our fort. Soon Eri and I were accompanied by Mina, Sero, Kirishima, Uraraka, Hagakure and Midoriya walked over once he walked in with Shinso and Todoroki. Shinso knelt down and examined our temporary hangout spot. "I say we did a pretty good job." I say turning Eri to give her a fist bump.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" I hear Bakugo scream and slam the freezer door. "What is it, bro?" Kiri wanders over to see what it is. "Did you eat all my ice cream, dunce face!?" He angrily shows me the nearly empty cup. "Oh, that was yours? I thought it was mine!" I scratched the side of my forehead. "Oh well!"

"OH. WELL!?" I heard him yell while little explosions came from his hand. "Bakubro, chill! I'm sure he didn't mean it." Kiri said and lead him away which seemed to work. They have an indescribable bond.

I hung out downstairs and did my work then played a game with Shinso for about half an hour after dinner, and that was my evening.

Shinso's POV

When I woke up after getting a little under an hour of sleep, I took a quick shower and threw on my uniform. I rubbed my eyes and was as energized as possible.

I went downstairs and made my morning coffee, and after taking a sip I filled my water bottle with Mountain Dew to drink throughout the day. I occasionally do that to make sure I don't fall asleep during a lecture.

Denki have me a goodbye hug and I was out the door. "Stupid gay panic..." I mumbled. "Did we just hear gay panic?" Jiro says with Tokoyami at our side. I nod. "I call an Emosquad meeting." Jiro says to Tokoyami and Todoroki turns around and walks over to us. "What's wrong?"

"Gay panic." Tokoyami says looking over to me. "Denki?" Todoroki guesses and I look at the sidewalk in denial. "Apparently." He shakes his head. "You get another letter tonight?" Jiro asks. I nod. "Try to find out if he's your soulmate." Todoroki suggests. "What was your first clue?"

"Actually, they ended up saying two without realizing I assume." And then it dawns on me that really sounds like something Denki would do. "Basically he said he's a crackhead and that he loves McDonald's. Which both... Apply to him."

"Well tell us tomorrow what it is." I slowly nod my head.

After school

Denki called my during lunch, the usual. When he got home I saw him trying to balance a piece of cheese on a carrot. I shook my head at his stupidity.

For dinner nobody felt like making anything so we got fast food. Everyone wanted different things so we all told dad what we wanted and he ordered it off of Uber Eats or something. Honestly I have no idea where they got the money for that but I tried to not think much of it.

You'll never guess what Denki got.

A chicken nuggets with apple slices from home and fruit punch. It's really cute how he acts like such a little kid. That's one of the many things I love about him.

We headed up to my room for the sleepover. I enjoyed sleepovers that we had together. He distracted me from everything else. My past. Class 1-C. School work and becoming a hero. It was him and I and nothing else mattered.

We ended up playing on "the big gay" and getting a dog for Denki which he was very happy about. Our next expedition will be to find a jungle biome and tame cats. I

We watched some SpongeBob before heading downstairs at 11:48. Denki got some apple slices and started eating them. The crunches that travelled into my ears sounded gentle in a way, almost soothing considering it was the chewing of fruits.

At midnight Denki ran to the mailbox to get my letter and handed it to me in a very excited manner. We dashed up to my room and as I shut my door Denki pleaded for me to open it.

It read:
To Toshi

Sooo it's been about a week since your birthday and I did a big oopsie. Long story short you started tickling the hell out of me. I tried and failed to run away and ended up tripping causing a power cut. So that happened and you got mad at me but it's all good now. ALSO YOU BROUGHT ME MCDONALD'S AFTER I HAD A ROUGH DAY SO THANKS FOR THAT.

"Oh shit." I mumble. There was no guarantee that it was Denki, but I just had a feeling it was. Who else would cause a power outage just from tripping? And nobody I've ever met has gotten that excited about fast food.

The whole time Denki was reading the letter over my shoulder and when he was done, he squealed. "What was that for?" I slightly tease. "That was a cute letter. You're so lucky with your soulmate!" He smiles.

"Yep.. I'm pretty lucky.
