I smiled as I saw you smiling that one date. You were looking at your phone. But you were smiling.

We're fine.

"Love?" I said.

Your smile faded. You looked at me.

I still smiled.

"Want me to skin shrimps for you?" I asked.

"Yes please, thank you." he said then continued looking at his phone.

Tell me what I'm doing wrong.

We're now at the shore. You were on your phone again. The light was illuminating your face. Your eyes were glowing. You were happy.

"Love" I said.

"hmm?" He responded.

"Are you happy?" I asked.

"very."

Morning.

I woke up. Nobody was beside me. I opened my eyes and searched for him.

He was sitting at the couch. Eyes on his phone. Smiling while typing.

"Love" I called.

"Goodmorning" he said. Smiling.

I smiled back.

"Goodmorning" I whispered.

He didn't even look at me. I'm sure he didn't hear what I said.

evening.

"Do you want me to cook something for you? Or just takeouts?" i asked.

"Actually, love I'll be gone for dinner. Jeongin really wants to meet me right now and I miss my bestfriend too. So can I go?" He asked. "please love?"

Love?

Love.

Nothings special about that endearment anymore.

Does he even mean it?

Does he even want to call me love?

I smiled.

"Okay, love" I said.

He just turned around and went to our room. Prolly getting ready.

I texted Jeongin.


'Innie!'
'Do you have plans with lixie tonight?'

'no hyung, why?'

'ohh. Nothing. Have a nice day innie'

'okay hyung you too'

I sighed.

"Love, I'm going now" he said.

"Take care. Enjoy with Jeongin." I smiled.

Without anything else, he left.

A year ago.

"love, would you like to come with me to meet Innie? I don't wanna go without you" He said.

"Of course love, I'll come with you" I said.

The glow in his eyes as he was smiling at me. Everything's perfect.

A year after.

I'm now looking at him. Smiling with another guy.

I smiled.

As if on cue, Felix's gaze landed on me. We shared a glance.

I still smiled.

I then turned around.

I then walked away.

A year ago.

"Love, I wanna see the lights" He said as we were hugging in our new bought apartment.

"When love?" I asked.

"Tonight?" He asked.

"lets go then" I held his hands.

A year after.

He was holding another guy's hands.

I ran.

I felt him running after me.

I stopped.

He stopped.

"Love" I said.

"Hyun.."

"are you happy?" I asked.

I smiled.

"Yes" He answered

"with me?" I felt tears welling up my eyes.

I looked at his eyes.

"Yes. Believe me hyung, Yes" He answered.

"don't-- stop lying lix please" I said.

"No hyung please" He held my wrist.

"Lixie?" I said.

"Yes hyung?" He asked.

"Are you happy with him?" I shaked.

"H-hyung"

"please answer me. This time with the truth lix." I said.

"I-i'm sorry" He said.

We're both crying.

"tell me. Are you happy?" I asked.

"Y-yes hyung" He answered.

I smiled.

"I'm okay lix" I said.

"Hyung I'm sorry" He said.

"To the next one after me, please don't tell him you're happy with him even if you're not." I sobbed. "I felt it. I saw it. Your eyes became dull when you call me love. You fell. You fell out of love lixie."

"Hyung I'm sorry."

"Its fine. I'm fine." I smiled. "I'll let you go now love. Be happy with him"

I kissed his forehead.

I saw myself at the beach. I always calmed myself with the wind, the sound of the waves.

Felix was the calm, I was the storm.

Felix calmed me down.

But now, Felix broke my heart.

Felix lied when he said he loved me.

But his eyes said otherwise.
