Eclipstar's Fury (Book Two)

"You don't have to do this." Mike told me for the tenth time when I told him I was going to absorb its power.

"Mike, I know you  are worried. Whatever you say will not change my mind." I stated firmly drawing a huge circle on the ice tiles with black ink.

The scroll said draw  hexagon in the circle and I did that.  I drew a circle in it again , a small one where I would stand with small circles beside it.

"No matter what happens do not interfere." I warned him. He sighed and nodded slowly. I looked into Caelen's eyes and to Misty's.

I stepped into the circle and Misty stood in front of me. "There are three stages, the first stage is low. The power is beginning to enter your body. You feel ticklish all over." She said.

"Second stage is  medium. You start to feel the power flow through your veins. It's a painful process. One, you feel burns in your body and this current in your body. You'll do anything to get rid of it." She said eyeing the small circles.

"That's why this is there to hold you down so you don't kill any of us." She said seriously making me gulp down saliva.

"The third stage, is extreme. The power comes in short painful stings. Your pores will open automatically for the power to enter. It goes in with a strong force that you'll feel numb." She went round in circles with the scroll in her mouth.

She hit her paw in the ground softly and ice sprouted from the ground and wrapped around the scroll and it's content faced me.

"You'll go into a stage of  metamorphosis along with death." She said and I suddenly feel scared.

"Both actually death per say. Like you will  be comatose. But,if you stay dead for long.." She left her sentence hanging and I knew what she meant.

"Word of caution, stay focused, don't fight the power let it flow. It will be painful I know. To have power it comes with a price." She said and hit her paw on the ground firmly.

The circle glowed blue and cold air blew over me along with snowflakes. Small ice chains  shot from the small circles and wrapped around my wrist and pulled me down till I was on my knees.

The chains vin my hand tightened and the scroll brightened. Without warning, the power flowed thorough my body and like Misty said, I felt ticklish.

I started from my feet and spread to all the other parts of my body. I don't last long when  I felt heat on my skin, extreme heat. My skin felt like it was burning and it felt itchy. It was the type of burn you can't get rid off.

I tug on the chains to scratch my burning skin but it tightened on my wrist.  I felt something flow through my veins. As it moved, it burned me from the inside.

I let out painful screams and tried to jerk the chains off me.  My body shook in pain as I screamed. I became numb and sore from the pain. I took in  shot breaths as the pain subsided.

I saw the scroll charge with more energy as it shone brighter. My heart beat quickened at what was next. I let out another scream when the power slammed into my chest.

My heart felt like it was being squeezed, twisted and burnt from the inside. My bones reformed again but before that, the powers broke all of them burnt them and regenerated it again.

J felt like dying as my pores opened and allowed more powers to be absorbed in me. I don't know how long I screamed but, I became tired and eventually I let the power do its job with me withering and whimpering on pain.

My heart beat suddenly became slow and I now got what Misty was trying g to tell me. It's time for me to die. I opened my eyes weakly and saw Mike and Misty restraining   Caelen from jumping here.
