Eclipstar's Fury (Book Two)

The next day the twins and I surveyed the Manor. The place was breathtaking it didn't look like an evil place. The barriers protecting the Manor were strong, but i didn't have any problem penetrating through it.

After hours of surveying, we returned back to the rest exhausted.

"Where did you three go?" Francis asked at the moment we stepped through the borders. I gave them a look to leave and they scurried away.

"We went out." I said nonchalantly. He wore a fur coats today with leather boots. On his waist was a pouch for storing small tools.

His blue eyes observed me carefully before he spoke. "Don't give me that answer. Don't think I don't know what you have been up to. Let's say if Caelen finds out what will he say." He smirked at me.

He knew very well Caelen will be unhappy if he hears where I had gone."That's why he won't know." I shot back in annoyance.

"Anything you say Princess,don't be surprised." He said walking away from me to the snowy forest. I walked back to my room without acknowledging anyone's presence.

It was still dark and the sun hadn't yet risen. Once I entered my room, I fumbled for the switch on the wall.
"Where the hell is that stupid switch!" I hissed in frustration.

Once my fingers made contact with that hard plastic, I turned it on but yelled in surprise when I found Caelen leaning on my bed with his leg crossed with a calm demeanor. As if he had been waiting for my arrival. I definitely knew that calm demeanor means danger.

"Ahhh, what are you doing here?" I pressed my hand on my chest in surprise. I swore I could hear my heart thumping wildly from my ear drums.

He stood up and walked over to me quickly. "What are you doing?" I dodged his outstretched arm and moved toward the bathroom.

What's with him theses days? He has become a little touchy like Mike and little overboard with the protectiveness.

"Why do you always disobey me?" He crossed his arms across his chest watching me. "You should know I won't listen yo whatever you say." I replied washing my face in the sink.

"What did we talk about yesterday? I thought you promised not to go there." He entered the bathroom. "I guess I lied about that promise." I smiled widely showing my thirty-two teeth to him.

I peered at my reflection in the mirror and did weird faces at my reflection. "What if something happened to you? Your brother isn't someone you shouldn't mess with." He sighed.

"If I have to tie you to that bed I'll do it to keep you save." He hugged me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"You know that approach will never work. It will be you that will end up tied up on the bed." I laughed at his silliness. Of course I would like to be tied on the bed,but I got no time for that.

He raised his head from my shoulder and played with my hairband. "Your hair is always tied let's change the style." He said and removed the band. My hair fell from the bun all the way to my hip.

I felt air pass through my scalp giving me a soothing effect. He played with my hair every now and then messing it in the process.

"If I knew you would mess my hair I would have cut it when you where in coma." I slap his hand away and moved to my bed.

Misty was sprawled on the bed. I laughed at her silently. She told me she would join us in surveying the place. She was adamant on waking up before me. Now look at her, she is fast asleep like a dead log.

"Why are you laughing?" Caelen asked behind me. "Nothing." I hummed on response.

"So what are we doing today? Knowing today is a free day." He asked me.
