I opened my locker to grab my physics book for my last period. Thanks, to Leo's friend I was able to hide Jason's mark but soon enough we would have to face his parents and then we had to face Serena and that was terrifying. I spotted Jason talking with Noah and I smiled at the sight of him. It seemed like he felt my presence because his eyes fell on me and he gave me a small heartwarming smile. After what happened between us in his cabin, it was way harder to control the urge to look at him or to talk to him and pretend that we are not together.
Then I felt a hand on my shoulder."Sydney had an idea." Leo started to say and placed his hand around my shoulders."She said that it would be nice if you, me, she and Jason went somewhere after school. I thought it was a nice idea since you know, soon you'll have to face all these problems. You could bond as a couple." he explained quietly."That and you can hang out with the girl you like." I smiled at him and he rolled his eyes."I'm doing it mostly because of you, your highness." I giggled."Of course, you are." he glared at me.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I just can't get involved like that with Syd." I elbowed him."You like her. She likes you. It's unfair just because your mom said so that you can't date her. You broke the rules once for me. You can do for her too." he ran a hand through his hair."It's not that simple. I'm not staying away just because she said that I must... It's complicated." he bit his lip. I didn't want to pressure him so I let it slip.
"So, should I inform Jason about that after school thing?" I wondered."Yeah, totally. Text him before you get to class." he said and then walked with me to my last class for the day. I texted Jason and he replied almost immediately that he would love hanging out with us. It might sound stupid but I was happy, happier than I should be considering that we were still doing something awful to Serena. I was pathetic, I know but I really loved him. It was true. I couldn't deny it anymore. I was excited to hang out with them, I was happy for Leo too. He was making progress, he was finally opening up to people. I was proud of him.
When the bell rang I texted Leo that I would meet him at his car. He replied that this was going to be our meeting point. I sat at the hood of Leo's car and waited. Sydney was the first to come. "Hello, Karma." she sat next to me."Hey." I told her. "We hadn't a chance to talk alone after I learned about you and Jason." I nodded." I know that I was an awful friend." I said ashamed."You were but I was a bad person so, I guess you did nothing wrong. I didn't even like Jason that much. Truth to be told, I just used him to piss off Natalie. I knew how protective she is of Serena. I just wanted to get to her because she kind of hated me." she explained.
"Why? What did you ever do to her? I thought the reason she hated you was because you liked Moonstone." she shook her head."It all started when I started dating Leo. Leo usually didn't date girls for as long as he dated me, she didn't like it. I guess she wants to be the only person that Leo cares about." I sighed."That's why she is mad at me because I befriended her brother." I run a hand through my hair and I saw the boys approaching us. We were the only ones left in here.
Jason cupped my cheeks with his hands and planted a soft kiss on my lips."I wanted to kiss you all day." i bit my lip to keep myself from smiling."You have a way with words Moonstone." I admitted and the werewolf that stole my heart chuckled." And you have a way to make my knees weak." my heart skipped a bit."Shut up, you'll make me blush." I pecked his lips and turned to face Leo." Hey, Leochu." I gave him a toothy grin."Hello to you too, clumsy one. Syd." he smiled."Let's just go and eat something. The only human in the group is starving." Sydney whined."I'm hungry too." I mentioned."What do you want to eat?" Leo asked." Human babies." Sydney replied and everyone gave her a weird look."It was supposed to be a joke, guys, relax." she rolled her eyes."Let's go to McDonald's." I suggested and we all got in Leo's car. Sydney sat in the front next to Leo who was driving and I sat with Jason in the back. We were holding hands the whole ride.
When we got there, I ordered a hamburger and some fries. When it was time to pay before I could take the wallet out of my bag, Jason paid for my food."Why did you do that?" He chuckled."Because I'm your boyfriend, baby." he said plainly. "Technically, you're Serena's boyfriend. Even if you were my boyfriend, that doesn't mean you have to pay for my food." he playfully rolled his eyes. "I know I don't have to, my moon. I wanted too. I want to take care of you." I had to admit that I was touched." I don't want you to spend your money for me." he pecked my lips. "Relax, it's not a big deal." I wanted to argue but he kissed me and I forgot what I wanted to say.
We sat on a table and started to eat our food. We were having a good time. "So, I'm curious, when did you start dating Karma?" Sydney asked."Two days ago." Jason replied. "We are not dating Sydney. He has a girlfriend." I pointed out."Oh, we are dating and just to be clear if I see you with another boy I'll eat him alive." I glared at him."You can't just eat people, Jason. Besides, If I wanted to be with another boy, I wouldn't be with you right now." Jason smiled."She has a point." Leo mentioned."You have a gift for saying the right thing, at the right time." I rolled my eyes playfully and he pecked my lips."I love you." he mouthed at me and I just stared at him like he was the most precious thing in this world. To me he kind of was, I mean we were supposed to be together forever.
"Guys, I'm sorry to interrupt but we're still here you know."Sydney whined and Leo laughed."You just said that because you're jealous that Leo isn't dating you." Jason shrugged. I looked at him surprised and Leo's laugh died down."Don't look at me like that, we all know she is head over heels for you Leonardo." Jason chuckled."How many times do I have to tell I hate being called like that. It fucking bothers me." the vampire snapped at him.
"Why is that?" Sydney wondered."It just doesn't suit me. I never liked that name." he was lying I could tell. I don't know why but he was. "I think it's fine." Sydney told him."It's not, it sounds like a name an old person would have." Leo whined."Dude, you're one hundred and twenty years old, that's the fucking definition of an old person." I giggled."Shut your mouth you little, wicked, witch!" Leo growled but I knew that he wasn't really mad at me.
"How old are you?" Sydney exclaimed."Oh, she doesn't know your age?" Jason chuckled."Apparently not. How do you feel being into someone that older from you?" I asked Sydney." Guys, the age is not the problem, If she needs to be concerned about something it's the fact that I'm dead, I drink blood and I'm immortal." Leo pointed out."That's why you won't give me a chance?" Sydney questioned him."Because you think you're a monster?" the girl looked sad all of a sudden."If that's what it is Leo, I don't mind that you're not human. It never really bothered me. You were next to me when nobody else wasn't. I mean, Karma was there too but not like you were." she told him.
"Um, guys me and Karma are going to go now because apparently, you have some serious shit to talk about." Jason grabbed my hand and we left the place to go for a walk."You actually think that this is the reason why insists on not dating her?" Jason asked me and I shook my head."That might be a part of it but I don't think it's just that." I responded. "Then what do you think it's going on?" he wondered."I can't tell you. It's kind of personal for him." Jason nodded understanding.
"Can I ask you a question?" a beautiful smile appeared on his face. "Go ahead." I encouraged him."When did you first start to like me?" I felt my cheeks getting warmer." I liked you for a long time." I shrugged not wanting to tell him exactly when it happened."You have to be a little more specific." his thumb caressed my hand."I'll tell you but it's kind of embarrassing." Jason rolled his eyes."I don't think there is anything more embarrassing from the fact that I still have a girlfriend so, please just tell me." the werewolf with the magnetizing hazel eyes said.
"When I first met you, at the cafeteria when I fell you and you yelled at me. I thought you were kind of cute even if you were yelling at me. I remember sitting on my table and staring at you after and at some point I also caught you looking at me too." his hand left mine and snaked around my waist pulling me closer to him.
"I couldn't get your scent out of my head." his voice sounded lower and I licked my lips. "God, I couldn't stop thinking about you. I couldn't believe that this was happening to me, I couldn't accept it but now that I think about it, I loved you from the start even if I didn't know you." he started planting kisses on my neck. His confession made my insides twist and turn, his kisses made my heart hammer inside my chest. "I love you Moonstone, even if you are the biggest prick. I guess I loved you from the start too." I admitted. " My moon." his lips brushed against mine. "I love you more than you can imagine." he kissed me and I realized that as long as we were like that, I was going to be happy.
Was that happiness though worth a war? It wasn't but I couldn't bring myself to tell him that I don't want him or anything like that. So, I had to find a way, to stop this."Something is troubling you, I can tell." he cupped my cheeks." I'm scared. I don't want anyone to die, Jason."
