Jason
I was sitting on my desk waiting for the school bell to ring, the history of humans did not interest me at all. It annoyed me actually, they were cruel beings. They reminded me of Serena's father. The only thing that he and humans care about is power. I truly despised them for that. What I and my people represent are peace and harmony but unfortunately, werewolves like Serena's father are always there to destroy those things.
"Jason..." I heard someone whispering a few meters out of my class."Future alpha we need you to get out of this class please." the voice said and I turned to look at Noah who was already staring at me. We got up and the teacher looked at us annoyed."Where do you think you're going gentlemen?" she asked cocking her brow."We need to go to the bathroom right now." before she could say anything else I was out of the class. I did not have time for her bullshit. Herman, one of my father's betas was waiting for me and I could tell that he didn't bring me any good news. He had a very worried look on his face.
"Future alpha, we have a big problem." his voice was shaking."What happened?" I demanded to know."A kid is dead. Your father is in the mountains, Sir. I don't know who to ask for help. The kid's mother is at the pack's house demanding justice for her lost kid." chills started to run up and down mine and from the looks of it Noah's back too."Start explaining and follow me, both of you." we started walking towards the exit.

How the hell could something like this happen? A kid died. Who would kill one of our pups?

The pack's house is our base. Most of our enemies attack there. Inside this house are me and my family, my uncle and his family and some of my father's betas that are high hierarchy. Everybody is welcome to stay in the pack's house though. All the other werewolves live near the pack's house. In this city there almost forty-two werewolves that belong to our pack. Most of our pack lives in the mountains though, our pups stay there with their mothers until they reach the proper age for training which is eleven when they reach that age they move back to their original houses.
Some other important members of our pack that live in the mountain are the soldiers. The soldiers are specially trained wolves for war. I know what you're thinking, if the pack's house is our main base why are they not there? My father's policy is that our soldiers should stay hidden so that our enemies won't know our true power. The mountains are not far away from our home so if something happens we contact them immediately and they come to help us. Secondly, these werewolves spent most of their life in their wolf form. Being a soldier is not for everyone.
Except for the soldiers, our pack consists of scouts who are really important and have special training and excellent knowledge of the woods, of teachers who are responsible for teaching our younger members and from betas like Noah and Herman. Betas are a little out of everything and they are closer to the alpha family than any other group. Last but not least there is the council of the elders- even though no one is really that old they call it like that- my father being the alpha is the person with the biggest impact. I'm part of this council too and I have a big impact too the other members exactly like my dad even though I'm quite young.
"Start talking Herman, why is that kid dead?" I asked and turned the engine of my car on."Well, he was out training with his teacher and at some point, the teacher lost him and then...then one of our scouts found him dead and half-eaten by rogues." you could see the disgust in Herman's face."Fuck... Was he alone with the teacher training and they lost each other?" I ran a hand through my hair."It was him and other four kids."Herman replied and I started taking deep breaths.

How was I going to handle this?

"Who was the kid, Herman?"Noah questioned."His name was Jim. He was thirteen." Herman looked like he was ready to cry maybe he knew him. Honestly, I was glad that I didn't know him, If I did I would be completely frozen. This was one of the times that I felt like the famous alpha's blood that was supposed to be running through my veins was plain water."I want the mother out of the pack's house. Bring there the teacher." I commanded and Herman immediately called the pack members to inform them.
With my father being away I was the one that had to clean this mess up. But how can I make things right when a kid is dead? I couldn't understand how could something like this happen? Can anyone avenge properly a soul stolen at such a young age?"Everything is settled, Sir."Herman announced and I nodded.
I parked right in front of the house. I could smell the teacher's fear in the air."Let's go inside." I walked towards the door while the other two followed me. When I got inside the house I saw him. A man around his thirties, he was looking at the floor. The house reeked of his fear. Two of our packs betas were standing next to him, one to the left and one to the right."Sir..." both the betas said at the same time and bowed to me. It pissed me off that they had to act so formal, it was my father's command though and I can't do anything about it. I had to wait until I would start to rule our little community for things to change.
"Thanks for bringing him to me." I said to the betas."Future alpha, I never meant for any of this to happen." the teacher of the poor kid shook his head crying."Start talking...I want to hear everything. How could a thirteen-year-old kid die on training and be half-eaten by wolves when found? And don't you dare lie, don't forget that I can hear your heartbeat. If you lie I will show you no mercy teacher." he swallowed hard. If he lied to me about such an important matter, that would be his death and he knew it.
"I swear that I'll tell the truth. I swear and the one who knows all will know that I'll tell the truth. Oh, moon goddess, show mercy to a wolf who made a mistake." he was ready to piss his pants."The gods are not here now to help you. I am god for now.I'm the one who is supposed to show you mercy and I have a really bad temper so talk." I snarled. "Please show mercy to your loyal servant. Please, goddess, please." he pleaded. "Don't make me hurt you." I growled and his eyes became a bright blue color. "Your future alpha talks to you! Pull yourself together and speak." I tried to not be affected by all that pleading for mercy.
"Jim was always a really arrogant kid." the teacher started to talk and I furrowed my brows."He always thought he knew everything. I didn't like him at all, he always had a way of making me angry. He always showed off, saying that he was better than the other kids. Today he made me more angry than usual, I said to him that if he knows everything he should go and practice on his own. I thought he was going to return to your house! But that kid went on the woods alone." the teacher bawled.
I was listening to his heartbeat the whole time he talked. I had to be sure that he wouldn't lie and he didn't, not even once."Did you talk to any of the boy's friends?" I asked my betas."I did, sir. I talked with the boy that claimed to be his best friend." the beta who was standing to the left said."What did he say to you?" the beta took a deep breath."The boy wasn't in a condition to talk, but from what he told me..." the beta looked at the teacher and took a deep breath again. It was like the beta believed that whatever he was going to say was going to make the teacher feel even worse than he already did.
"There was a fight between them. The teacher told him to leave." the beta said to me and then turned his attention to the teacher."Little Jimmy did everything he could to impress you." the beta explained to the teacher."His friend said that the boy was in love with his teacher from the moment he saw him. I guess it was one of this weird crushes that the little kids have for their teachers. The only thing he wanted was for you to notice him." the teacher started to cry silently and stare at the void, my beta's words broke him. A thirteen-year-old boy lost his life because he liked his teacher...Why didn't that man tried to talk to him about his behavior?
"You had no idea about the boy's feelings, did you? You never even bothered to talk to him, to figure out what's wrong...You couldn't do your job right, that's the reason that this kid died not the rogues." I was furious."Alpha, I never meant for any of this to happen!" he tried to defend himself.
He was shaking. I was shaking too, it was the first time that someone called me alpha, I could feel the weight of the word and the responsibility it had falling off my shoulders. I can't say I enjoyed it under those circumstances."Yes, but it did happen. You were supposed to take care of them and train them. You failed." he didn't reply, he didn't know what to say.
"Jason, what do you want us to do?"Noah, who hadn't spoken all that time, asked."Chain him in the basement. When my father will return we will decide what to do." I said and the betas took hold of the teacher."Alpha, please! I made a mistake." he was crying, his voice was hoarse."A lethal mistake." the betas did as I asked. They went to the basement to the pack's dungeons and chained the teacher who was pleading us not to do it.
The betas returned and stood in front of me."What are we supposed to say to the boy's mother Sir?" one of them inquired."Tell her that the teacher will be punished. Tell her that I will try and find right now the ones that are responsible for her child's death and if I don't find them, we will wipe them all out. We will kill them all. I swear that. This full moon we are going at war. I'll talk to my father about it." I announced and everyone nodded.
"Noah let's go. I want Logan to come with us." Logan was one of the pack's scouts and
