Divya was fidgeting with her mobile phone, she was debating whether she should go back and stay with Darshan as she had this bad haunch that he would run into danger. Moreover today Darshan seemed more disheveled, even he was used to the memories of ghosts, he never came across any murdered one.
A few more minutes later her phone vibrated, as she looked at the screen, a tension crossed all over her features, it was Darshan's mother.
She could not avoid this call at any cost so she picked up, keeping a nervous smile plastered on her face, she spoke "hello aunty. How was your day? Did you have lunch yet?"
After hearing from the other side, her eyebrows arched in concentration "no aunty. Darshan was exhausted that's all. He might have been fallen asleep that's why he couldn't pickup your call."
However the other person seemed not to be convinced at all and Divya had to explain all the ghost thing and she also added that she had suggested to Darshan to go with her and Darshan stubbornly denied.
When she was done, she thought she would be spared but that never seemed the case as she suddenly saw someone she knew.
Almost overjoyed, she informed to the person over the call "oh! Aunty it seems like he had changed his mind. Yeah, he is here. Then I'll take him with me."
Whatever reply she received her complexion looked hurt, yet she assuringly replied "no, no aunty. Don't worry I won't say anything about us. Then I'm hanging up."
Keeping her phone inside her bag, she exhaled a heavy sigh and smiling widely advanced to the supposedly known person.
She almost had called the person but something about the man told her not to go ahead, so she stopped on her track, just a few steps away. The way he was dressed; the blue jeans and plain full sleeve white shirt, the neatly combed nape length jet black hair, these were very unlikely of Darshan. Strangely this person was radiating a superior aura it felt suffocating to her and she knew it could be anyone but Darshan. The presence of Darshan alone could soothe her always, moreover it was clear that he was avoiding any kind of interference with anyone and what was more strange that he completely ignored her.
Several minutes had passed away, that person was still talking with someone on his tablet and Divya was minutely watching him. His reactions were changing so drastically that she almost lost her mind for trying to apprehend the situation. When that person finally kept the tablet in his bag with a grave expression, she decided to stay away from him for good and gave a call to Darshan's mom as she had to inform her that she wasn't sure about her son's whereabouts right then.
Yet curiosity got the best of her and she asked "ummm aunty, does Darshan have a twin brother?"
After getting another question from the other side, Divya had to explain what she saw.
Then she added "this person seems to be a more superior version of Darshan. Though I don't know why but this person is worried about something and he is weirdly looking at the road."Just as she was eager to hear another question there was a huge crashing sound and her eyes widened in shock; an accident had happened on the opposite side of the road, a man died, and the truck was long gone.
The only thing that brought her back from shock was the unmoving, horrified, breathless man on the opposite side of the road, staring at the air over the dead body; he was none other than the actual person she knew. Divya knew Darshan too well to know the meaning behind that look, he was staring right into the soul of the dead man and immediately she wanted to approach him.
But what held her back was another person beside him, staring at him, with an amused yet bewildered look plastered on his face. Divya thought she was hallucinating as she watched an almost faint white light erupting from Darshan reached to the person standing beside him, but before it could have a grip, its owner sprinted away frantically. Due to the distractions, she almost forgot that she had someone waiting over a call.
