America exhaled as he pulled his backpack over his shoulders. Okay Ame, first day of school. Don't blow it.He thought to himself, before starting to giggle out of excitement. Canada chuckled as he walked over to his brother, who was standing in front of the door and ready to go.

"Exited?" He asked, handing Ame his white cane. It was what he had used to get around when he wasn't in the house. Luckily he knew his own house well enough that he could get around it pretty well without running into too many things. Ame turned his head as he heard the rest of his family approaching.

"Good luck at your first day of high school big bro!" New Zealand yelled happily as she wrapped her arms around Ame's waist. He smiled and reached down and rubbed her back.

"Thanks! Soon enough you and Aussie will be in Highschool." He said, knowing that his little sister always was talking about how she wished she could be an adult. Britain walked over and set his hand on Kiwi's shoulder.

"Come on Kiwi, Aussie is in the car waiting for you." He said he looked over to Canada and mouthed something to him. Canada nodded and watched as Britain dragged his unwilling daughter to the car.

"Be Good mon fils! Have a wonderful first day!" She called. [Translation: sons]

"Don't worry maman! We will!" Canada called before grabbing his brother's hand and walking out the front door. Canada and America had always been very close. Even when they were very small, and despite the fact that Canada was taller, Ame was the older twin. Ever since the incident Canada had basically made it his duty to make sure that his brother could get the most out of every experience. He was exited for school, he and his parents had managed to convince the school board to put them together in most classes. Sure, all classes would have been preferred but he would just have to make do.

"Okay, so we're coming up on the bus stop. Here we'll wait for the bus that'll take us to school." Canada explained. Ame nodded as he continued to walk, using his cane to sense any small obstacles that could trip him. Then he started to think. What is people ask about it? What if they ask why I wear sunglasses? What if they think I'm weird? What if-the boy was torn out of his thoughts by his brother's voice.

"You okay? You look worried." He said. Ame huffed.

"I'm just afraid people will think I'm weird because of the cane, or because of the sunglasses, or-"

"Hey, don't worry about it. Plus, who cares what they say? It doesn't matter. You are you and they don't have to deal with what you deal with so they can screw off." Canada said, squeezing his brother's hand a little bit. Ame smiled as he was reassured.

"Thanks Nada," Ame said before turning his head towards the sound of a bus. He smiled, it was a nervous smile, but a smile nonetheless. Canada helped Ame onto the bus and he could immediately feel all of the stares. Canada sighed and grabbed his brother's hand and pulled him towards the back of the bus. Ame sat in a seat while Nada sat next to him, he clenched his brother's hand out of nervousness. Canada smiled.

"Calm down, remember, nobody cares." He said in a hushed tone, trying to sooth his brother.

Canada helped his brother off the bus and looked at the large Highschool. This year he and Ame were sophomores, along with his other friends. Nada pulled Ame along towards the door. A few people gave Ame weird looks as they saw him go by with his white cane, but he was too focused on trying not to trip and fall on anything in the crowded space.

"Hey Canada!" A familiar girl voice called. Nada looked around before spotting his friend Japan. He smiled and waved before guiding Ame towards her.

"Japan!" He said, she waved and jumped forward to hug the maple syrup loving country. He gladly returned the hug. The neko then looked to Ame, who was just standing there awkwardly. She let out a little gasp, making the striped country even more visibly uncomfortable.

"You must be the United States ofAmerica!" She said, running up to him and looking at every inch of him. While he just kinda hoped Nada would step in, but unlucky for him, his brother was still greeting other friends.

After being given a full-body inspection by Japan America was introduced to the rest of the gang by Canada.

"This is Japan, she has cat ears and a cat tail." This made Ame smile, he liked Cats. Canada proceeded to introduce the rest.

"This is South Korea, aka SK."

"This is Germany, he has glasses and is probably the smartest person in the whole school."

"This is Poland, he has wings." Ame's face lit up as he heard this. Wings!? So cool!He thought to himself. Canada smiled as he sensed his brother become exited.

"This is Ukraine, he always is wearing a flower crown."

"And this is Russia, he's super tall and wears a funny hat."

"He's as tall as a tree." Uke said, elbowing his older brother who was just standing there with a blank face. That made Ame a little scared.

As tall as a tree? Surely that can't be true.He thought to himself.

"He's not actually as tall as a tree, people just say he is." Canada explained.

"Ohhhh.." Ame said quietly. He started to reach his hand out but quickly recoiled it. Nada frowned.

"What's wrong?" Poland asked. Nada sighed.

"He wants to know what your faces look like. Well, feel like I suppose." He explained. The others nodded.

"So how does that work?" Uke asked, crossing his arms.

"Like this," Nada said, grabbing Ame's hand and pulling it up to his face, setting it in his cheek. Ame felt around his brother's face, noticing all of the little dips or rises. He stopped and smiled as he got to a scar on Nada's chin. He remembered when he got that, they had been riding a bike together and they hit a rock and went flying. Nada had gotten a scrape on his chin while Ame had a gash in his lower lip, he still has the scar to prove it, if Nada's scar wasn't proof enough.

"Oh, ok." Uke said, he sounded a little uncomfortable.

"You don't have to if you don't want to. I get it if you think it's weird." Ame mumbled, pulling his hand away from his brother's face.

"Huh, so you do talk. Was afraid for a minute there that you were just gonna be like Russia." Uke said. Ame rose a brow in confusion.

"What's wrong with Russia?" He asked curiously. Ukraine rolled his eyes.

"He's always so dead. Sometimes I wonder if he even has any emotions." Uke said, sounding a little rude. Before anyone could say anything else the bell wrang and they all went their separate ways to their first classes, Nada of course had English first with Ame.

Woo hoo! First chapter of this book is out! Yee! I know I said I would take a break but...hehe...oops.

I probably won't update this book as frequently as I did Never Left because there are a lot more things going on this week...like essays...mmmm, just gotta love English class. Well either way, the first chapter is out and I hope that this book isn't a disappointment compared to Never Left because people seemed to REALLY like that book...

Stay safe out there & Have a lovely day because you deserve it. :)
