Like the morning, the rest of the day was pretty boring. After lunch he had homeroom, then science, then math. Ame didn't have science or math with Nada, so he just had to make his way around on his own. Ame sighed as he walked into math class. He could hear other students talking with each other.
Greathe thought. At least with science I was the first one there so I didn't have to worry about sitting where someone else is sitting. He grumbled in his mind.
"Hey Ame! Over here!" He heard a familiar voice call.
"Russia?" He asked.
"Yeah, there's a free spot right here." Russia said, tapping on the free desk right next to his. Ame smiled and walked over to the tapping and sat down at the desk.
"Thanks." He said, feeling his cheeks become a light pink. Russia smiled.
"No problem." He said.
The rest of math was pretty boring to America, he found it all to be too easy. Then again France did teach him much more advanced math than what he really needed to know at that age, but he was willing to learn so she kept teaching. So now Mae just knew a ridiculous amount of very complex math and he could do it with little frustration. Russia watched as he filled out the math sheet the teacher had handed out as if he was just copying the answers, but he wasn't.
"How do you do that so fast?" He asked, now he felt dumb. Was he dumb? Was he in the wrong class?
"I think it's easy, but my mom taught me linear algebra already so maybe that's why." Ame said as he continued to fill out the paper. Russia looked dumbfounded.
"Don't you only do that in college and university?" He asked. Ame nodded. Russia then went back to doing the worksheet knowing that Ame was possibly as smart as Germany if not smarter.
Eventually everyone finished their worksheet and the bell wrang. Russia helped Ame to his locker then went off to his own. Ame smiled, despite not talking much around other people, Russia seemed to be a pretty cool guy.
"Okay you ready to go home?" Nada asked, Ame nodded and they both walked out and towards the line of yellow school buses. Nada looked at the number on the bus to make sure it was the right one.
"Okay, this is the one. You want help or?" Nada asked. Ame shook his head and carefully got onto the bus without tripping or anything. Nada smiled, he felt proud of his brother, knowing that he had depended on his at the beginning of the day but now he was becoming more self sufficient. He got into the bus and followed Ame to the back.
"So what do you think of school?" Canada asked excitedly. Ame smiled, noticing his brothers excitement.
"I like it!" He said, Canada hugged his brother out of joy. "As much as I love mom as a teacher I'm glad I can go to an actual school now." He said, Canada nodded in an understanding way.
"Yeah, I'm glad that you can finally come too. How was math and science by the way?" He asked. Ame shrugged.
"Science was kinda boring in my opinion but that's probably 'cause I can't see any of the pictures we were looking at." He said, sounding a little sad. "But math was good, super easy, but good. Russia was already there and he helped me find an open desk. He's really nice, I don't know what's up with his brother though." Ame said, Nada frowned.
"Yeah, Ukraine used to be a really cool dude. Now I don't know what's happened to him. Oh well you win some you lose some eh?" Nada said before noticing that the bus had stopped.
"This is our stop," he said, grabbing his brother's hand and helping him off the bus. They walked back to the house and Canada let them in.
"We're home!" He called. Ame smiled as he heard a little meow, he crouched down and waiting for the brown tabby to rub its side against him.
