Shades

Chapter 20

Hello, this is just a strong language warning. It doesn't last for too long but I thought I might as well just put it in here, just in case.

Russia sat in his last class before his free period. It seemed like the morning was lasting an eternity. He was just so tired and he just wanted to sleep. Finally his prayers had been answered and the ball rang. He stood up and Met Ame by his locker. Without words they took each other's hand and walked out to their favorite place.

Ame reached into his backpack and pulled out his Kalimba.

"I brought this for you today!" Ame said excitedly. It took a moment for Russia to realize what Ame meant.

"Oh, yay! You brought the thingy that starts with K." Russia said, doing his best to sound exited in his sleep deprived state. Ame looked at him with concern.

"You okay Russ? What's wrong? You sound off." Ame said, scooting closer to his boyfriend. Russia groaned.

"There's just so much going on and everything sucks." Russia said, hugging Ame. The smaller country hugged back.

"Well I'm here to listen to you may vent if you want, but I won't force you." Ame said, pulling away from the hug and starting to play a calming tune he made up on the spot. Russia sighed.

"Yesterday I came home to find my older brother Kazakhstan was visiting. At first I was exited then I realized what he was here for, Uke. He told me what he thought happened but it turns out my dad leid to him and told him that a capitalist killed him! For most of the night Kaz and my father yelled and fought. It got so bad that Bel had to come into my room. Kaz ended up leaving and taking us with. So we spent the remainder of the night in the only hotel room Kaz could afford. I barley got any sleep and I just am so...ugh! I just hate everything!" Russia yelled, clenching his hands into fists. Ame sighed and kissed Russia on the cheek.

"Listen Rus, things might be difficult now but things will get better. If you want I can ask my parents if you, Bel, and Kaz can stay at my house until you get things figured out?" Ame offered, resting his hand on top of Russia's. Rus smiled.

"That would be lovely Ame, thank you."

"No prob." Ame responded, kissing Rus on the forehead. "And feel free to fall asleep, you need it. I'll wake you up when it's time for lunch." Ame said. Russia smiled and rested his head on Ame's shoulder as Ame played a sweet tune on his kalimba.

America looked down at Russia sleeping in his shoulder. If he weren't in a public place he would be cuddling Russia, he was just afraid of what the other students might think. There were probably some that were homophobic, then again they just kissed each other multiple times. Oh well.

Ame turned his head as he heard more than one person approach.

"Hello?" He said, hoping he could recognize who they were based on their voices.

"What are you looking for, black-eyed freak?" America could recognize that voice from anywhere.

"Oh, hello NK, and I'm presuming China." Ame said in an unamused tone. The two chuckled lightly.

"Ya know, your smarter than you look." China said, starting to circle him. Ame knew that something bad was probably about to go down, but for now he just decided to stand his ground.

"I thought Ukraine told you to stop beating the shit out of me, did you not get the memo or what?" Ame asked, his tone harsh. H ewas getting annoyed, but he needed to keep calm or he'd accidentally do the same thing to NK that he did in the ditch. He needed to keep control of himself.

"Oh Ukraine, you murdered him. Don't you remember?" NK hissed. Ame clenched his hands into fists.

"Listen here fuckwad, I didn't kill anybody. He commit suicide right in front of me." Ame said.

"Well you still could have-" NK was interrupted.

"NK. Leave. Him. Alone." Russia said, his voice sounded deep and menacing. NK huffed, and walked off, China following close behind.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you. I was hoping that I could just keep them at bay until they just left and you could stay sleeping." Ame explained.

"Ame no, what the hell. I'd rather not just sleep here and wake up to find that those two just beat the shit out of you." Russia said, he put an arm around Ame's shoulder and pulled him closer. The two sat there, enjoying the peaceful moment together. Though it was short lived as the lunch bell rang.

Russia thought about how the friend group reacted when he and Ame told them that they were dating. He and Ame thought it was hilarious. Canada, of course, already knew so he sat there smiling. Germany and Poland immediately started congratulating them. SK thought it was a joke at first, he thought they wanted to prank Japan. So they had to confirm for him that it was indeed a real relationship. Then there was Japan who was so excited everyone was concerned she might explode. She started immediately talking about some dirty things which most of the group were slightly uncomfortable with. It was one thing when you talk about sex between imaginary characters, it's a completely different thing when you talk about sex between your best friends.

Russia Hoppes into the back of Kazakhstan's car, which was parked on the curb.

"Hey, you doing okay?" Kaz asked as he started to drive. Rus sighed.

"Yeah, I'm good, just really tired. Today during lunch we told the friend group that Ame and I are officially a thing. Their reactions were kinda funny to be honest. Oh yeah by the way I'm bi. Anyways Ame said that he would ask his parents if we could stay at his house because I told him about our current situation. By the way are we still sleeping there? Or have you found a different place?" Russia said. Kaz sat there, doing his best to process everything Russia had just said and not crash the car.

"Okay, wait just a minute." Kaz said, taking a deep breath. "Your bi? I mean, I dunno I just never thought I'd see you with a guy. I'll still accept you though. Next your dating? Does Bel or father know?" Kaz asked. Russia shook his head.

"No, I was going to come out to them when I got home but then you were there. After that I didn't really get a chance." Russia explained. Kaz nodded.

"Okay, and yes, we are still in that hotel room. It's the only thing I can afford and I'm sorry about that." Kaz said, he did really feel bad about having to keep his siblings and all the things they had brought in that small room, but he didn't have much if a choice.

Hi, happy mother's day! I hope you are having a lovely day with your mom. 

Then again it's also a Sunday, which means I have school tomorrow...f*ck. I hate school, then again most people probably hate school. Or maybe they don't, I asked my friends & they said that they strongly dislike school but they can enjoy it sometimes. Honestly I only enjoy the classes where we just waste time on doing things unrelated to the class.
