JEON J.

After I cleaned the blood off of myself, I switched places with Taehyung so that he could take the next watch. As hard as I tried to fall asleep, I couldn't force my eyes to stay shut. My fingers still twitched as adrenaline danced through my body, and I frowned a little to myself as I remembered the expression Taehyung had when he saw me. As beneficial as it was being able to scare the shit out of anyone or anything that came my way, sometimes I got tired of terrifying people.

Sometimes I got tired of being a monster.

Eventually I fell asleep; after fighting off intrusive thoughts for about 15 minutes, my eyes began to drift shut on their own, and I was finally welcomed into the embrace of sleep.

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
I was woken up at dawn by a kick to my thigh.
"Get up, Jeon. We need to leave soon," Yoongi ordered, leaving my tent quickly. I sat up and stared after him for a few seconds while I waited for my eyes to adjust, stretched my arms above my head, and eventually shimmied out of my sleeping bag with a sigh.
Once I was dressed for the day, I decided it was time to harass today's victim: Taehyung.
With that goal in mind, I hurried out of my tent and barged into Taehyung's, spreading my arms wide and doing jazz hands just to add a little flair to my entry. "Hello beautiful!" I bellowed in a sing-song voice, earning a grumbled response from Taehyung, who was trying to dress a couple feet away from me.
"Shut the fuck up," he grumbled sleepily, pulling a shirt from his bag. I scanned his torso suggestively before I spoke again.
"Damn, you should take your shirt off more often. It's enough to make a ma–"
"Out," he growled, chucking a shoe at me as I darted out of his tent.
Mission accomplished.
I chuckled to myself as I jogged away from him and towards Jin's tent to wake the older man up. As I slowly unzipped the fold, I gently called out to him, "Jin? It's time to get up, we have to get going."
He hummed groggily and nodded. I lingered a few seconds longer to make sure he was getting up, and when he sat up, I got a good look at his face.
He looked like he hadn't slept in weeks, his eyes dull and shadowed, his expression sullen. I fought back a frown, concerned about his condition.
I didn't want to alarm him, so I smiled, stood and walked away. I then set out in search of either Min or Kim.
We need to figure out what to do. Being out in the Outskirts is bad enough, but being exhausted and in the Outskirts is a death wish.
The second your guard is down is the second you're dead.
I bumped into something, or rather someone. They hit the ground with a muffled 'oof.'  I looked to see what it was, realizing it was Min who had fallen on his butt in the dirt.
"Sorry Min," I apologized as I grabbed the short man's hand, pulling him to his feet.
"Iit ffiihne," he replied verbally. I felt my eyes bug out in surprise. I gently grabbed his shoulders.
"Di-did you just speak?"
"What's it to you?"
"Can you do it again?"
"The hell for??"
"Please," I made the cutest face I possibly could, pushing my lower lip out in a pout.
