KIM S.

After Jungkook proved he could easily slaughter me without batting an eye, I decided that it was best to follow his orders and suggestions.

It was also the reason I chose to ride on the back of his stallion; if anything came our way, he was most likely to kick their asses first.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid. I mean, I was a scientist after all.

We rode for hours without stopping, and I could see that even the horses were getting tired. The haze-covered sun had just begun to sink towards the horizon, it would be dark in about fifteen minutes. I spoke up for the first time since the soldiers found me earlier in the day.

"Hey, can we stop for a second?" Taehyung immediately shot me an annoyed look. Jungkook turned so I could see his profile, he contemplated for a moment before sighing in response.

"What for?"

"I need to pee."

"You sure that's a good idea at this time?" he asked. "I can't promise that you won't die, or mysteriously vanish if we let you out of our sight for even a minute. Still have to pee?" He ran a hand through his raven hair, one eyebrow cocked as he threw a slightly amused glance back at me.

I stayed quiet for a minute, contemplating. "Well–"

"Let me reword that for you mate," Taehyung cut me off without sparing me a look. "If you get off that horse, especially in the dark, without any of us to accompany you, you'll either come back with your dick ripped off or you won't come back at all." After a moment he added with a humorless chuckle, "I'm telling you this for your own good, plus I don't feel like picking up your severed body parts."

"I guess I'll have to take my chances." I was met with a chorus of groans, Taehyung turned to the blonde soldier to let him know we were stopping. Once we all had come to a stop, Jungkook dismounted and began to help me down.

"I would give you a knife just in case, but given what happened earlier today, I don't think that's the best idea," he offered with a melancholy smile. "Be safe," he told me with a quick pat on the back, I gave a nod and turned towards the woods for some privacy.

"I'll be back in a nanosecond," I quickly replied.

After my quick leak, I headed back the way I came, listening carefully for any threats.

Snap.

My heart started racing in my chest as I did a quick 360, searching frantically for the source of the sound.

"Calm down Jin, just hurry your ass up," I told myself, wrapping my arms around my chest in an attempt to self-comfort. I picked up my pace, and I had just begun to slow my heartrate when I heard another twig snap directly behind me. I glanced behind me and saw nothing, but that did little to reassure me.

At that point I was speed walking, my heart racing in my chest. My breaths grew shorter and more shallow as I hurried back towards the others.

Just when the silence had convinced me that I was alone again, a low growl rumbled from somewhere behind me. I screamed and ran for my life, sprinting out of the trees and crashing into a body.

"Ouch! What the hell Seokjin?!" Taehyung exclaimed.

"Th-there's a–" I rushed, trying to calm my breathing.

"What? Spit it out!" Taehyung snapped.

"I think there's a fox," I said shakily. I heard the soft whump of a footstep behind me, and with a shriek I clung tighter to Taehyung.
