For those of you who did not read chapter eleven, I wanted to let you know what happened. I know from personal experiences it can be hard to read and I wanted people to be able to enjoy the story without having to read the last chapter.
The timing is the Saturday after Eva and Jake went to their friends' houses, and they meet at the school again. It is revealed that Jake's grandmother died in a coma that week while he was at school that week. Eva tells Jake about the situation with the proposal and reveals that Mare's father is abusive towards his daughter. She also hints at the time two weeks prior when Jake first created his starry night painting was the day she planned on committing suicide. Jake admits he wished he had been less afraid to tell his grandmother about being gay. He gives Eva a can of spray paint and they let loose their fears.
