My head hurts due to overusing of my soul. Aside from that, the awful smell of the blood is lingering in my nose.
“Is there something wrong, Scarlett?” Darren asked while eyeing my bag. My eyes automatically widened when I noticed something dripping on it.
I shouldn’t remember that damn nightmare. All of a sudden, someone hugged me from behind. He was caressing my hair as I let out my exhaustion through my tears.
“Calm down, Lexie.” I pursed my lips as he slowly poured a huge amount of alcohol into my hands. He even wiped it and smiled at me, “As long as kuya’s here. No one can hurt, not even her.”
“I’m sorry…”
“Just wait, Lexie. I will fucking free you from your nightmare.” He gently kissed my forehead before inspecting if I have any blood in my clothes, “Come back inside after you relax.”
“I already knew it.” I wryly smiled after hearing his words. Is he really expecting that I will lose his documents? “But don’t worry, they will never know the information in those files. Especially that it was only registered to you.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Melanokinesis,” he mumbled. I blinked twice and realized that he could manipulate inks, “Oh. That’s not my soul.
He softly laughed, “So, where did you lost it?”
“Black Plague’s turf.” After a moment of silence, he suddenly laughed hysterically. I can even hear the loud tapping of the table in his line, “Are you done?” I asked.
“I—I’m sorry.
Tangina nila.
Kung yayayain man nila ako ngayon, hindi ako sasali. Bahala kayo sa buhay n’yo. Ang pangit niyong mga kaibigan.
I came back inside the Daedalus’ Labyrinth with a deadpan looked. I noticed that Darren and Zeus were being scolded by the others, which made me confused.
“Liars! You told us that Scarlett-chan is not a player!” Zach exclaimed while Darren avoided his glance. Zeus, on the other hand, wasn’t paying attention to whatever Zach was saying.
Hunter was glaring at Zeus while showing the gun I used earlier.
“I said, I’m sorry,” Zeus languidly said to Hunter, but it didn’t make Hunter’s glare disappeared.
“Do you think your simple sorry could make her go away? She was shivering earlier when she shot Amanda.” It was Hunter who spoke, but he was acting so serious that I almost thought I don’t know him.
