XX - Guild War

“Unbelievable, you even used me so you can fight…” Austin whispered and looked at me as if he was being molested.

As I rolled my eyes at him, we hid behind the pile of the unused chair at the top of Alpha Helix’s hideout. Austin and I teleported minutes ago when Hunter and Logan were causing a hammock outside while Zeus his soul to infiltrate from the main hideout.

“You are all enjoying this… I might as well, right?” I whispered back, he cringed at me and playfully shook his head, “What? I’m also doing this for Hunter’s sake, even though I know he can fight—”

“Yeah, yeah, you’re Amethyst and you are his pawn,”

I shook my head and looked at our opponent. Their hideout was a three-story building, in which as far as I know most of the hideouts are old buildings. 3 out of 6 defenders were present in this area, I can’t see them clearly because of the chairs covering my sight, but I am sure that they are playing some cards.

I suddenly bit my tongue when I heard Zach’s voice inside my head, “Dalawa lang ang kaharap namin. Be careful, guys. Hindi rin namin sure kung matatapos agad namin ‘to lalo na’t power-up related ang souls nila.”

“Zeus, how about you? Any luck?” Logan asked.

“Zeus, speak,” Hunter commanded.

I heard Zeus sighing, “Guard. Rooftop.” I wanted to facepalm. Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit na-gets ko ‘yong sinabi n’ya na may guard papuntang rooftop.

Austin suddenly flicked my forehead when he immediately saw the creeping smile that curved into my lips. I mean, who wouldn’t be happy? I can actually fight without any hindrances!

“We have three opponents. Our sight isn’t that clear, still no sign for their constellation right now,” Austin reported.

“Three opponents?” Hunter confirmed, “Take care of Scarlett, okay?”

Austin grimaced at me while I shrugged at him, “Yeah, yeah, I will.” He rolled his eyes as we focused on the enemies in front.

Zach’s telepathy disconnected, making Austin and I move towards our enemies.

Ilang beses kumurap sa akin si Austin nang maglakad ako sa gitna habang humihikab pa. Sabay-sabay lumingon ang tatlong lalaki sa amin at binitawan ang kanilang mga baraha, ang mukha nilang masayang nagkekwentuhan kanina ay dahan-dahan na naging seryoso.

I smirked when I enhanced my sense of sight just to see their constellation in the middle of their table. It was a card with the symbol of Orion, it was a good strategy but it was not good enough to escape my eyes.

“If it isn’t the top 1 student.” I carefully inspect the one who spoke from head to toe because he looks familiar. He was Nikolaj, one of my classmates in Mr. Romualdez’s class.

Bigla ko na lang naramdaman ang isang sapok sa akin ulo, sinamaan ko ng tingin si Austin na tila minumura at pinapatay ako sa isip n’ya.

Nikolaj smirked and all of a sudden, the entire rooftop was covered with the sticky, jelly web. And without any hesitation, I immediately pulled out my gun and released its bullet as I scattered the gunpowder inside.

I looked at Austin who immediately got what I wanted to do and threw a lighter which was lit to the gunpowder. We immediately dock afterward and as soon as it exploded, the whole area was covered with black smoke.

“Austin!”

“Got it!”

Mabilis kong tinakbo ang direksyon ng dalawang miyembro nila nang i-enhance ko ang paningin namin ni Austin. Samantalang tumungo naman s’ya sa puwesto kung nasaan si Nikolaj at dahil web ang soul ni Nikolaj ay mahihirapan s’yang hulihin ang may teleportation na katulad ni Austin.
