“Sino bang hinihintay mo rito?

“I’m waiting for Travis,”

Nikolaj innocently looked at me, “Is he near? Sabihin mo para maiwan na kita—”

“Yeah, he’s near,” I assured. He bid his goodbye and left me alone and in peace.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw a message from Hunter. I was about to open it, and I suddenly felt something eerie, something that doesn’t feel right. I slowly put the phone back to the pocket.

I turn around as I block something with my hand, and to my surprise, a knife was only an inch away from my right eye. A little second too late might actually cause my eye. I forcefully kicked the man wearing a mask when I felt another behind my back.

I heaved a sigh and cursed my uniform inside my head. Bakit ngayon pa nila ako na-tripan atakihin kung kailan naka-uniform ako?!

Both of them suddenly charged towards me, making me bend forward and kicking the first one’s leg. And when he flinched, I escaped through between his thighs with my bag slapped to his guts. A familiar voice rang into my head when he suddenly screeches in pain.

And before he could actually move again, I forcefully lye him down from his sitting position by stepping on his shoulder. I waited for the other to lunge his knife on me, but it just took one glare to finish him off.

“Hoy!

Tangina…

Amanda was caught in surprise when she saw my eyes wide open. I smirked upon seeing a red-dye fist, and it’s funny how she is messing with a sleeping woman. Her goons were watching her back as if they are waiting for someone.

I don’t know, but something doesn’t feel right. I can tell that it is not Amanda who attacked me earlier, the one that I failed to notice.

“P’wede bang matulog na lang ulit? Your punch bores me to death.” I mocked. Amanda was about to blow another punch when suddenly, a cold laugh echoed in the entire room.

A man was standing in the darkest place of the room, and all we can see is his silhouette. I squinted my eyes and looked around just to see how familiar this place is.

“Should we finish her?” Amanda asked the man.

“You should, after all, she belongs to the most ill-bred family.” The man was using a voice changer, so I can’t really tell who he is.

“What do you mean?” Apple stealer curiously asked. I quizzically looked at them— are they following his orders without actually knowing what they are doing?
