GAME START

My eyes automatically smiled upon seeing her beautiful figure; her gentle and warm eyes, along with the smile plastered on her face, make me believe that she’s the epitome of beauty.

Scarlett Lexie Alvarez Flint.

It’s been two years since we brought DANIMA to an end after we learned the reason for the Alvarez Family’s exaltation after she unravels the mystery of her birth. It was a big part of our life, and not a single one of us regrets tackling all those battles.

Those experiences built us anew. Those battles guided us to the peak.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Scarlett curiously asked.

Ngumiti lamang ako sa kanya at natatawang ginulo ang kanyang buhok, “Ang ganda mo kasi.” Bigla na lamang n’ya akong nginusuan at pabirong hinampas sa balikat.

“Siraulo ka.”

Nagulat na lamang s’ya nang niyakap ko s’ya palapit sa akin at saka paulit-ulit na hinalikan ang noo n’ya.

“Salamat… Salamat dahil ako ang pinili mo, Scarlett…”

She is my precious Amethyst. It’s funny how I loathed her in the past because I grew tired of hearing my grandfather’s remarks about her, not knowing that I would actually fell to her.

Her mission was to protect me, and it was the only reason why she attended Phantom Academy. And as someone who didn’t know that she was Amethyst, I silently protected her from the shadows. Watching Scarlett was my stress reliever, and every time she does stupid things, I can’t help, but be amused.

“Mali… Dapat ako ang nagpapasalamat sa’yo.”

Sinilip ko s’ya at pinagtaasana ng kilay, “Bakit naman?”

“Mahirap makakita ng mangangaso— Aray!”

Inis n’yang nilingon si Hallie na bigla na lamang s’yang pinitik sa noo dahilan upang matawa ako. Nakangisi naman na tumingin sa amin si Austin.

“Ang trip n’yo dati madaling araw na date tapos ngayon—”

Hindi na natuloy ni Hallie ang sasabihin n’ya nang hinigit s’ya ni Austin paupo sa mantle na nilatag namin kanina.

“If you’re jealous of them being clingy like this, you can do it with—”

“Austin, really?” I exclaimed and shook my head. My eyes drifted to the zodiacs, who were still running in the green pasture, “I know that you’re already a year married. But, dude, get a room.”

“Travis texted you.” Scarlett pouted and handed me the phone.

Gusto kong matawa sa reaksyon n’ya, hindi man n’ya sinasabi sa akin ngunit alam kong selosa s’ya. Ang hindi ko lang matanggap ay sa lalaki pa s’ya nagseselos. At ang hindi n’ya alam, naging malapit lamang kami ni Travis sa isa’t-isa dahil sa kanya.

Halos mabanatan ko na si Travis noong makita ko silang magkasama ni Scarlett at dahil wala akong alam na ang dahilan lamang pala kaya’t malapit silay ay dahil alam n’ya ang sikreto ni Scarlett at nangako s’yang poprotektahan n’ya ang sikreto nito.

Travis:
Pre, help ginagago na naman ako nina Richard. Gagawin daw akong Alpha Tester sa larong gagawin nila ni Darren. Ayoko pang mamatay, pre. Mahal na mah—

“Anong sabi?” Nakadungaw na tanong ni Scarlett. Inabot ko na lamang sa kanya ang cellphone ko hinayaan na s’ya ang mag-reply ro’n.
