Gut wrenching, soulless pain.

I could feel it. I could feel how it struck me. How it teared me apart.

Flashes.

Yellow.

Red.

Purple.

Green.

Orange.

Death.

Destruction.

Embers.

Nothing.

I wake up, a scream lodged in my throat, my entire body erupting into chills as my eyes flash and a vision stuns me, taking my breath away.

The ground is shaking beneath my feet. The tiny pieces of rock and dirt are floating, hovering inches off ground.

I take a step forward, then another, until I'm walking out into the field, hands clench to my sides.

A shuffle of iron, footsteps cratering the dirt as though someone is struggling, they're struggling hard.

I reach the crater, my foot stepping onto the rock and I lean forward, ready to climb it, ready to end it, ready to finish this.

The something slams against me, a hand, gripping my shoulder with might, spinning me around so I can view his fearful brown eyes.
