"Tony was supposed to take care of you,"
He tried.
"He has a daughter, you would think he'd know how to take care of a full fledged adult."
Excuse me-
"I'm not letting you out of my sight ever again,"
"Oh come on!" I groaned, hoping the former spy didn't go into full blown Momma bear mode.
"I don't care," She grumbles more to herself then to me.
Urgh.
After the mess that happened in Tony's house, Natasha received the alert and drove there in under 30 minutes.
Which was crazy because it takes at least an hour to reach the lake. I didn't ask how fast she was going because clearly, she didn't want to hear it.
The conversation shared between my actual brother and my friend-she-adopted-me-parent went something like this;
"What did I say about looking after her?"
"I did!"
"Then why does she like hell?!"
"Blues always looks like this, what are you talking about?"
"Um, I'm right here guys,"
Both Tony and her went back and forth before eventually I decided to take matters into my own hands and threatened to blow up the Lake.
That seemed to work.
"You're blowing things out of proportions." I fumed. "I'm not made of glass, Nat."
The lights from the Facility come up near in the distance as Natasha stepped on the brake.
"That's not what worries me," She huffs, pressing on a button so the gate lifted, allowing her to drive in.
I noticed the lights to the lab were open and felt a familiar energy wave. "Banner?"
"He's the next best thing after Tony," She answers, sighing heavily. Natasha drove the car to the garage before putting it in park mode, allowing me to get out.
"Does he know about..." Trailing off, the Russian takes notice of my attempt and understands I meant; if Banner knew about my powers.
"We told him. He wouldn't have believed it if Tony hadn't sent the scans."
That made sense.
Why bother to help if you didn't have existential proof that it would work?
I was the living evidence.
"Supper?"
Stepping into the foyer, Natasha closed the door behind me and threw the keys on the nearby stack.
