"Drifting left, on the side there, Lebowski."
I turned slightly to the side, watching as my brother drags aluminium pipes along the floor, supporting the weight of it with his shoulder.
He passes Thor who tabs a can of beer and guzzles the liquid, causing it to seep into his beard, making his sunglasses look large on his face.
"Ratchet, How's it going?"
Tony grins at Stripes who is hanging on his hind legs, upside down, hammering away at the glass platform.
"It's Rocket." He snide, gripping the hammer tightly. "Take it easy, you're only a genius on Earth, pal."
Thor burps in the background in response to that.
"Can you all stop being men for once?" I complained.
Like that'll ever happen.
Slowing my steps towards the large glass dome, I crossed my arms over my chest and stared at the large machinery, finding it daunting.
Dozens of fiber-glass pieces were attached onto the ceiling and the bottom part extended upwards, looking like a claw almost.
Humankind, literally rested on this platform.
And it was 85% completed from what I can tell.
"There's beer in the mini fridge, Sparkles." I gestured to the god of thunder when I felt his anxiety begin to rise in the background.
Happily, the blond male bounds over to the mini fridge and the rattling of cans can be heard as he rummaged through it.
"Well, he still looks bad, but not as bad as before," Stripes comments, crossing his small paws in front of his chest.
"What'd you do with him?"
"Took away the pain, for a while," The answer surprises Stripes who doesn't say anything although I can tell he's thinking.
Right.
I forgot he wasn't around back when I had the powers of healing, he only saw me when I was the Darkling.
"Catch that for me, will you?" Tony proceeds to throw the pipes over a crane. I caught it before it hit the ground.
"Connect the pipe to the interface down there."
Rolling my eyes, I ducked down into the platform and scooted my way past buzzing wires and metal.
It stank of oil and soot down, I grimaced when I finally found the interface Tony mentioned.
"This is a pain in the ass."
Swiping aside the different wires and connectors, I place the pipe against the mechanism before hearing it lock in place.
The interface abruptly glowed alive, the screen showcasing several numbers and sequences.
"Hey Tony, the interface is up and working," I called out.
