"And you're absolutely sure you'll be fine? You know I could always just stay with you and let the others go by themselves.", Kakashi asked Anko for the umpteenth time this morning.

Rolling her eyes, she kissed him on the cheek before pushing him firmly towards the gates.

"The Mizukage asked specifically for you, you can't just not go. I'll be fine, don't worry. After all, Sakura is staying with me and I'm certain Mikoto won't let me out of her sight for even a second."

The time traveller was still more than reluctant to leave his pregnant girlfriend behind in the village. What of something happened whilst he was away? He'd never forgive himself!

"I don't like it.", he muttered darkly. "I'd feel better if Orochimaru or any of the other Sannin were here."

Two days ago the Raikage had asked for the Sannins since there were some hints that could lead to Zetsu, Madara and Rin and Minato hadn't hesitated to send them to help. Kakashi hadn't had a problem with it previously but now that he was forced to leave the village the circumstances had changed.

"I'll be fine!", Anko told him firmly again.

Sighing, Kakashi wrapped his arms around her, whispering: "I'm sorry, I'm just worried and the entire mission gives me a bad feeling."

"Isn't that reason enough to go? Imagine if something would happened to Naruto or Sasuke or Itachi whilst you were here, worrying about me for nothing?", asked Anko gently and caressed her boyfriends face. "You already defied Hokage-sama when you ordered Sakura to stay here with me or when you told him he was crazy to send me on a mission. Don't antagonise him anymore, please Kakashi."

Thinking about his girlfriend's arguments, the time traveller grimaced. Like always Anko was right. He was already arguing with the council almost daily and most of those conversations was not meant for frail hearts, he couldn't afford to loose Minato as ally. His sensei would never leave him willingly but if he continued to oppose his decisions he might be forced.

Sullenly he muttered: "You were two weeks pregnant and he wanted to send you on a mission in the land of lightning."

Giggling, Anko pushed her boyfriend so that she could look him into the eyes.

"Exactly. I was two weeks pregnant. There are kunoichis that work in the field until they are in their 12th week and in the office right up until the baby is born. You won't even let me work in the Academy even though I'm sure I could teach those brats some good lessons."

"Being a teacher causes stress and stress could effect your pregnancy badly, you could go into early labor or something else could go wrong. You could develop a preeclampsia, that's a condition that causes high blood pressure and problems with the kidneys and other organs. Or a placenta previa, that's when -"

Kakashis rambling was abruptly interrupted when Anko kissed him passionate. He didn't waste anytime to kiss her back just as fervent. Her soft lips caressed his and he felt invincible, like there was nothing in the world that could destroy them. Not now, not ever. She was his life, his oxygen, without her he'd be nothing. She was his and he was hers.

"You worry way too much.", Anko muttered between the kisses. "I can't believe you actually looked up pregnancy complications."

"I need to be prepared for anything!"

A cough ripped them out of their personal bubble and the couple stared awkwardly at an embarrassed Naruto. The bright red cheeks of the blonde showed that he was far more uncomfortable with the situation as the two.
