Two days. 48 hours. 2880 seconds.

It had been two days since Kakashi and his team had returned to Konoha only to find parts of  the village destroyed and an important member of their family missing.

Two days since Kakashi had fallen unconscious.

Two days that Sakura and Mikoto had spent worrying next to Kakashis hospital bed, desperately waiting for him to wake up again.

Two days in which Naruto, Sasuke and Itachi had torn the village and the near surroundings apart in an attempt to find even the slightest clue of Anko's whereabouts.

And after two days Kakashi finally opened his eyes.

For a short moment the time traveller just lay still in his hospital bed, surrounded by a soft and fluffy blanket, an IV needle in the back of his hand and his heart beat sounding loudly in his ears. He was so tired and everything in him screamed to go back to sleep. Giving in to his desires he closed his eyes. His dreams had been so nice, maybe he'd see his students again.

Then he remembered.

He remembered the shock that had captured his entire being in Kiri, the dread that filled him on his journey, the hope when he had reached Konoha and the blinding fear when he had realised that he had been too late.

Gritting his teeth, the time traveller pushed himself up. Without hesitation he ripped the IV needle out of his hand and stood clumsily.

Without sparing the plain room another glance, Kakashi turned towards the window. Crouching on the windowsill he warily surveyed the buildings next to him. It appeared to be noon if the sun and the busy streets were any indication and from experience Kakashi knew that there was only a few minutes left until one of the nurses would come to check at him, worse one of his precious people could come back and then he'd never leave the damn hospital.

There was no reason for him to stay in the hospital any longer, he was immortal for kamis sake. He'd just reappear if he'd died. He was an asset,a tool, a weapon. No more, no less. Strangely, he was okay with that.

As long as he was here, nobody else would be forced to become a living weapon. And when he was done, when he had freed the nations of Madara and Zetsu and Rin, there would hopefully be no need for anyone to sacrifice their humanity like he had done. They had chosen death the moment they had decided to bring war to the nations, but now that they had dared to take someone precious from him... his cold-hearted personality - the one he had taken one after Minatos and Kushinas death in his previous life - came out and there would be no mercy.

A cold smirk adored Kakashis face as he swung himself over the window sill and climbed to the hospital roof. Licking his dry lips, an insane gleam settled into his dark eyes. They would bleed for what they've done.

There was no point in suppressing his chakra or trying to reach the Hatake house in secret, not when his blood lust had over taken him so that even the most unsuspecting civilian shivered in fear as he ran passed them.

Stopping in front of his destroyed home, Kakashi took a deep breath. The sight was still as painful as when he had seen it the first time around.

Carefully, he walked through the debris. He could see that someone had tried to fix the worst but had soon stopped. From what Kakashi could smell it had been an unknown genin team but there were also traces of Sasukes smell. The young Uchiha had probably told them to leave the place as it was, sending them the other places that needed repair and for that, Kakashi was grateful. It seemed as if his little brother knew him good enough to know that he'd want to fix his home by himself.
