So I've been a bit temperamental this week.
This piece is just a way to blow off steam.
Hopefully this isn't a piece of junk.
Probably is, but oh whale.
I kind of drifted off from the original topic, but oh well.
Why is it that you decide the world revolves around you?
Why is it that you decide to be selfish?
The world doesn't revolve around you.
The world is filled with people living, too.
People cannot attend to all your needs.
They have their own needs to attend to.
Is it human nature to be selfish?
I don't have the answer.
Do you?
For there are many people starving.
They don't have the things we do.
Shouldn't you consider yourself extremely lucky?
Sure, life isn't a fairy tale, but it could be a lot worse.
You could be alone and starving without anyone or anything.
You could be falling deeper into the depths of the sea with no air.
You could be soaring one moment, then crashing to the ground the next.
Life will not be fair.
Life will not be equal.
Life will not give you everything you want.
Life will never work that way.
Life will find a way to slap you in the face and bring you back to reality.
No matter how far you soar, life will bring you back down.
How can we live in such a harsh reality?
How can we be unaware of the true face of life?
But that's life, I guess.
I guess we just live.
Live and forget until we become unaware once more.
Then become aware of reality.
Then realize darkness will start new beginnings.
We cannot truly appreciate the light without darkness.
Until we forget again.
Then, we go back into a never-ending loop of forgetting and realizing.
Until the light welcomes us back home.
