This is just a small drabble I came up with a few seconds ago.
It may or may not be complete garbage.
If you're wondering, this does not apply to me.
The drabble, I mean. She looked outside from an open window.
Lonely was this girl.
So lonely.School was okay.
She didn't pay attention to her classmates, nor did they pay attention to her.
You could say it was a circle of some sort.
She didn't mind being alone, really.
The loneliness was her company.
It wasn't so bad, actually.
She didn't mind being lonely.
Oh, so lonely. Her family loved her so, but she always seemed distant.
Disconnected from the world.
Lonely.
Just so lonely. They thought she needed to be less distant.
Thought she needed to make friends.
After all, she was a sweet girl despite her loneliness.
But the girl refused.
She said she didn't mind living in solitude.
She stated the truth.
They didn't believe her.
They thought she was sick of being alone.
Very alone. This went on around and around for countless days.
At least, until the girl stopped looking out the window.
Suddenly, the girl was cheery and bright when she came home from school.
She made friends.
Her family was overjoyed, but did not interrogate her.
They saw she was truly happy.
At last, she wasn't alone.
She found people like her.
And when she finally found those people, she stopped looking out the window.
She stopped gazing in envy at the children playing below her.
She instead started to smile more often.
So happy was she.
So happy. She knew no happy ending could exist.
But, she hoped that she would get something pretty close.
Of course, this wish didn't come true.
At least, not until she overcame the many hardships life has to offer.
And when she lay on her deathbed, she remembered her lonely days.
She never really noticed her envy, or her sadness.
I guess it was for the best.
In the end, she knows her name will be forgotten.
Her name has been like many others.
But she doesn't mind.
She'll continue to gaze down at us, reminiscent of her younger years.
However, the envy in her gaze is replaced by serenity.
No longer is she lonely.
She is at peace.
