Chapter 4

Kang Ryu:

I quickly cover my nose as soon as I know that horrible smell. The smell of the dead. I scan the lab room and closes my eyes. It's not like I'm disgusted by what I have seen but it's because I need time to cope up with this mess. I don't like saying that what I have saw is disgusting since I'm like disrespecting the dead and I will never will.

"How many corpse are there?" Taehyung asks coldly. I open eyes and see his angry expression but a calm and cold voice is being presented.

"47 and we are still counting." The Professor said angrily, looking at the corpse. They were still not covered yet so it was clear that this is not a normal murder case especially with that appearance.

Taehyung notices something strange and moves closer to a corpse that is near in his area. He turn the head in side ways, exposing the neck. In my direction, I couldn't see it but his facial expression says it all.

"It's a vampire isn't it?" I ask softly since it might hurt his feelings. I mean it's his kind right? I, too would be hurt if my kind did it.

"No it's not." He simply said staring at the neck. Both I and Professor Min YoonGi look at him in confusion. He notices us and sighs.

"Look here closely." We both get a closer look and sees a mark circling around the neck like this human was hanging himself.

"That's weird, I swear I saw bite marks awhile ago." Professor said analyzing the mark while I look at Taehyung, trembling. I never saw him like this.

"Taehyung, you should calm down first." I pat his back trying to calm him.

"It's alright Vasílissa mou." He said finally, he calms down. He holds my hand and starts explaining, "This humans has formed a contract to demons and I mean single one of them. Look at their necks. The once bite mark has changed to some kind of a demon mark." He was right it is starting to change.

"Continue." Professor Min YoonGi demanded to know more informations. Taehyung nods in agreement.

"This humans are in an organization. Not normal organization obviously. This kind of organizations are dangerous. The members wanted to have demonic powers when they saw my fight in the colosseum. Their greediness took them and lead into this." He said and we're all shock by the news.

"So you are saying that this organization is being run for thousands of years just because they wanted to have those powers too?" I ask.

"That's not important Ryu. The important question is, is it possible for a human to form contract with demons? If it is, we should be ready to fight them off." Professor said, worried.

"No, humans can't since demons are prideful. Even if they came to a contact with some lowly demons, they still can't. Only vampires can do that." He hisses.

"So we're safe right?" I sigh in relief.

"But the problems are, more humans will die because of this stupid idea and vampires might also form a contract." Professor Min YoonGi also hisses.

"Also, how do you know that they only contacted with the lowly demons and not the higher rankings?" I added more questions.

"Seriously you're all scientist why didn't you find some informations about this or like run some test or something." Taehyung rolls his eyes in annoyance while I tighten my grip in his hands for just on second signaling him that he should have not said that.

"Manners kid." The Professor glares and Taehyung gulps. Seriously, even if he is a vampire, he surely still be scared by some humans.

"Fine. Even if vampires wanted it, they are not stupid to risk their lives. We all know that the only one who can form a contract is a King and the Devil." I shiver in response when Taehyung explains.
