JENO glanced at y/n with any chance given. Deep in thought as he walked beside her. Parts of him wished to be close to her, yearning for her trust and companionship. A part of him which he can't even decide or acknowledge its existence, the side he wishes to maybe be more than friends. Jeno admits to finding y/n attractive.

Throughout the month he's been carefully eyeing her, since the break up, he found the urge to care for her like no one else has. Little to his knowledge, Haechan was all that y/n could think of. Reminiscing of the times that they'd walk together, how he never forgot to walk her home even if he lived on the other side of the school. Showing up at her house when she didn't attend school because she was sick.

All of that clouding her mind, making Jeno feel as if he didn't exist. He didn't mind though, it gave him the chance to just simply stare at y/n. Trying to think of her friends name to possibly get some information out about y/n.

What y/n didn't know was that Jeno ditched hanging out with his friends Jaemin and Renjun just to walk y/n home. It was a first for him, appalling his friends. Asking him why does he want to chase after a broken girl who'll probably only use him to her liking. Saying that she isn't going back to her normal self and that's just how a break up works on females sides.

Jeno continues to persuade himself that maybe just maybe, he'll turn her life around. Girls don't always just sulk and allow it to cut deep into their wounds. He's witnessed it before, seeing a female go from the lowest of the low, to glowing brighter than before. Jeno wants to bring y/n to that.

"Did you get the notes for today's class?" Jeno asks y/n bringing her out of her daydream.
"I didn't. It's okay though." She humbly answers as if studying no longer didn't matter to her anymore.
"But it's for the test tomorrow." Jeno said.

None of what Jeno's worries actually made it into her ears. Flying right out of the other ear. Y/N stops in her tracks, turning on her heels to face Jeno. Not wanting to be rude and ask him what's his deal. Who's want to involve themselves with an emotionally dead girl. Jeno, didn't find her as what she believed herself to be. Seeing the light in the situation.

"It's fine." Y/N claims. "Jeno is your name right?" She reassured.
"Yeah." Jeno breathes out.
"Why are you doing this?" Y/N furrowed her eyebrows.

Jeno couldn't find the words to answer her question. His mouth agape, but not a single syllable to escape from his lips. Only a sigh leaving his mouth. Infuriating y/n by the second. She became impatient, huffing at his expression then walking again. Jeno has set a bad image in himself since he couldn't bring himself to answer the question.

"Don't you think you're wasting time being with me Jeno?" Y/N questions shuffling away from Jeno.
"I'm not." Jeno said.

By now they stood in front of her street reminding her too much of the scene she pleads to have wiped from her memory. Pursing her lips into a thin line shaking her head of the thought.

"Then what are you doing?"

"I'm trying to be your friend." Jeno states.

"Oh. I see. Well, I guess I'll get going. Get home safe." Y/N said.

Y/N hurried into her home afraid that the conversation would get more and more awkward if she lingered any longer. She was drawn to him, attracted to him. Yet something pulled her from ever thinking of even coming to think of Jeno as more than a friend. Haechan.

Pulling up messages of their old conversations, peering at the several pictures they took. Tears building in her eyes. She was still attached to him. Too much for her own liking. Feeling like she'd betray Haechan just in case is he ever did want to come back. As much as Haechan was on y/n's mind, many would expect that she's on his.

While y/n thought of Haechan, he was sucking off a females face at a karaoke room. The disco like light flickering on them. As his lips latched onto hers, feeling all around her waist and thighs. The smooth melody of the instrumental song playing as background music. Engulfing himself into her soft lips. Her dark toned lipstick rubbing off onto his lips the deeper they kissed. Thinking of what would happen next. Not a trace of y/n in thought.

Jeno, ruffling his ash brown hair roughly. Cursing himself out for his stupid brain for not properly functioning in front of y/n. Infusing his thoughts that he's ruined the good first impression. Marching off regretting his dumb actions not expecting y/n to come off strong and stubborn. None of that changed the fact that he still wanted her.

"Huh? Jeno? What are you doing in the side of the neighborhood?" Myunghee asks catching Jeno storming away from y/n's house.

Knowing that Myunghee was a friend of y/n, he used this opportunity to his advantage.

"Do you possibly know about what happened during y/n and Haechan's break up?" Jeno said.

Myunghee perplexed to why he was asking such a question that she didn't even have an answer to provide him with. They were both in the same boat. Neither one of the people from the couple wanting to open up. Leaving no one to even know how they ended. Sprouting many rumors about how they probably could have ended. Majority being that Haechan cheated on y/n regarding how fast he was already off with another female.

"No sorry I don't." Myunghee answers.

Then Jeno understands that even y/n didn't even inform her closest friend. It'll be just as hard get to know what happened.
