THE sunny spring sky welcomed the two underneath a cherry blossom tree. The sun rays beaming through the flowers and onto their skin. Tanning as they remained awfully silent. School had just ended and y/n wished to have a word with Haechan. Finally picking at the courage to face her ex and talk to him. She wasn't going to get back with him, rather cut all ends off right then and there with him. He's just forever thankful that y/n didn't ignore his entire existence. As she had avoided him the entire day and asked to talk to him right at the same exact spot.Haechan wasnt expecting her to welcome him into her arms. Reading from the frustrated expression she had as she troubled finding the words without being too harsh. Y/N shifted her weight on her left leg, unraveling her folded arms as she squints to look up to Haechan. Bringing her hand over her eyebrows for a form of help to remove the sun from her eyes.
"Did you really mean what you said that day? When you told me that you missed me." Y/N starts off with the question burning in her mind.
"I did. I really do miss you y/n." Haechan confesses stepping towards y/n.
Y/N didn't step back, instead she stares at him. Hearing those words was like a pang to her heart. Haechan noticed the change of her face. It wasn't so strong anymore and he thought she was loosening up to him. Like she was drawn into his charms that she fell for before. When in doubt she was just observing him. Reading his facial expression to find some sort of sincerity and seriousness. It wasn't enough to appease y/n to the littlest amount.
"I think I should stop you right there. I don't miss you anymore. I'm positive that my feelings are only towards one person. And it will remain that way. We've had our chance and we've come to find that it didn't work out. There's no second chances Haechan. You've proved yourself from the start. I just didn't realize it until I had forced it out of you. I'd appreciate it if you'd just let it be. I'm not sure what our relationship would be after this. I don't even know if I want you as a friend just yet. So can we come to an agreement?" Y/N responded pouring her heart out.
Haechan didn't know how to react. His heart was shot down. He knew that he couldn't get her back anymore. But that didn't mean he couldn't at least fight to befriend her. Haechan pursed his lips into a thin line, unzipping his jacket as it had gotten too hot for his liking. Unable to tell if it was from y/n's cold words or from the weather.
"What's the agreement?" He heaved a sigh holding his head low defeatedly.
"It's pretty simple. I'm not telling you to get rid of your feelings that you probably have for me. I just want you to know that we, this won't happen anymore. This ends it here. No strings attached. Do you follow through with it?" Y/N explains.
"Yeah. Completely." Haechan answered.
Y/N held her hand out to shake his hand. It was taken, but not by Haechan's hand.
