THE weekend ends particularly too fast for y/n's liking. Dragging her feet through the campus while Myunghee rambled on about how her and Renjun's 'date' went. Y/N wanted to tell her about her weekend as well but she was afraid that since it involved Jeno, she would be distraught. Y/N decided to keep it to herself.

"Oh, did you hear about the new boy of our school? His name is Mark! Boy if I thought Jeno was attractive, Mark has really got him beat." Myunghee rants.

Y/N furrowed her eyebrows. What new boy is there? And apparently everyone is talking about it. Y/N wasn't into meeting new people in the school. It was useless because she may not even see them after high school. If they wanted to make an entrance in her life they can, she wasn't going forth to do so.

"Who?" Y/N asked not catching onto the name. Taking a note to keep the name in mind just in case he's in one of her classes.
"Mark Lee! His name alone is just so dreamy like his eyes!" Myunghee praises the boy that probably doesn't even know she exists.

Myunghee sits at a specific table unlike her usual random spot. Ogling behind y/n's head sprouting curiosity. Y/N circumspectly turns to look over her shoulder finding a boy sitting alone at a table. He looked too familiar to y/n. Myunghee stared adoringly at the boy clicking the assumption that he must be the Mark Lee the school has been talking about.

Y/N cocked an eyebrow, tracing her memories of how her neighbor looked comparing it to the boy alone at the table. Swiftly turning in her seat when she realized that it was him. Her chest matched her quickened breaths. She herself didn't know why she was so nervous or didn't want him to notice her. Oblivion to their first encounter for the moment, when she played the scene in her head.

"You're at our table." A males voice snared snapping y/n's eyes towards them.

Y/N's eyes widened. Just when it was successful to have her ex off her mind for a week or so, he appears right then and there. Her heart dropped, the worried expression fell to a displeased one. Myunghee lifted the corner of her upper lip glaring at the boy who held the upmost ambitious smirk plastered on his face.

Y/N glanced around the table then stared Haechan dead in his face. "I don't see your name here though. Find another one." Y/N demanded appearing strong. She was quaking beneath the incisive image she portrayed. Haechan seen right through it, breathing out an appeased chuckle. The female beside him remained silent, lingering behind his fractious figure.

"Bold aren't we y/n. You don't look so strong under that mask." Haechan brazenly states.

Haechan didn't mean what he said. Fearful of the confident and glowing person she's become. Oblivion to how she was when they dated. He didn't like the image of her looking better without him. While she spent months crying holding him as a barrier to her finding another love, she finally overcame most feelings for Haechan. Haechan dealt with the reverse of her coping methods. Finding someone else right off the bat to replace the feeling of having one by his side, realizing that they aren't y/n, then finding that she's well off without him having him mope of his poor decisions. As days trailed, he kept an eye on y/n, missing her more and more by the day not minding that he was slowly falling for y/n again.
