JENO was hesitant when it came to sending y/n a message. Afraid it would be too soon to just text her out the blue. Meanwhile y/n was doing the same. Trying out several types of texts to send to Jeno varying from 'did you get home safely?', 'I enjoyed my time with you.', or 'we should hang out more often'. Before she could even decide on which one, Jeno's response answered all of her supposed response as if he was reading her mind.

Jeno: hey I got home safe and I really enjoyed my time with you, I was hoping me and you can hang out more often

Y/N dropped her phone in shock getting goosebumps as she read his text. Gasping as she went to read the messages once again. Her mother peered into y/n's room to make sure she was okay after hearing the loud echoing gasp.

"Are you okay y/n?" Y/N's mother asked worried for her daughter.
"Oh I'm fine, just this level I can't beat." Y/N lied unintentionally.

"Did you have any homework today? Did you finish it?" Her mother nags.
"There was no homework today mom. I did well on my tests though!" She answered.

The sound of her daughter doing well in school brought a smile onto her lips as she closed the door scolding her once more. "Okay! Don't stay up all night playing games y/n! Dinner will be ready around seven so come down as soon as possible.oh and do me a favor! Go take the cookies I have on the counter to the new neighbors next door! They just moved in today, I seen that they have a son around your age. Maybe you two will be going to school together." Her mother informed.

Y/N could only think who dared to even move into the home next door. It was rumored to be haunted and that's why the Seon family rushed out only living there for approximately 4 months. Y/N didn't want to go outside at all. She literally just came back inside. Drawing her attention back into her phone as she replied back to Jeno.

Y/N: so did I! Do you have any more fun things you do?

Y/N was off to do as her mother told her. To drop off the chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies she freshly baked to the neighbors. She was jealous that they get to taste her mothers magnificent baking skills and she didn't. Pouting as she stood before the brown vintage door.

Knocking three times and stepping back glancing at the neatly packaged cookies. Having the rebellious thought to maybe just take one as she grew impatient. Y/N didn't take a cookie, and knocked again instead. The door flew open as a gust of wind hit her face blowing her hair back.

"Hello?" The tall boy with jet black wavy hair wearing some aesthetically pleasing outfit that appeased y/n's eyes. He has a mole on the side of his face, his facial features were oddly small along with his face. His chocolate brown orbs examining y/n in front of him wondering what was in the securely sealed container. Spending minutes just observing and judging each other as neither one of them spoke. He found her jubilant and amiable while she found him demure and winsome.

"Uhm hi! I'm your next door neighbor! My name is y/n and my mother wants me to give these to you guys to welcome you into the neighborhood!" Y/N quickly introduced.

The boy fell silent, gazing into her eyes that he was oddly attracted to. 'Cute' he thought as a small grin tugged at his lips.

"What is it?" He remarked.

The boy wasn't just going to accept anything from some cute girl. After all it may just be poison. His trust issues coating his thoughts and refused to take the container. His image came off strong to y/n. Stronger than she'd expected. Expecting to just give the family the cookies and be on with her day like her mom explained. It was anything but that.

"It's cookies." She replied.
"Yeah, but what kind?" The boy pestered y/n with questions she wasn't prepared for.

"It's chocolate chip and peanut butter... if you don't want it I'll eat it all for myself." Y/N snared finding his disgusted facial expression offensive to her mothers bakery worthy cookies.

Y/N figured that he didn't like cookies. Anyone would just snatch a container of cookies once they were given to them. Yet, the strange boy didn't. The boy obviously wasn't disgusted with the fact she was bringing them cookies. He just didn't like peanut butter cookies. It came off on a wrong turn for y/n as she was imagining herself snapping his head off and eating the cookies.

"You eat one first. Just in case there's something in it, you'll drop before I do." The boy said.

Y/N snapped the containers lid off holding it underneath the bowl as she gracefully grabbed a chocolate cookie taking a big enough bite. Chewing it flauntingly in the boys face. Reveling the chewy greatness of the soft cookie. She thought of an idea that Jeno may have done if he was in her situation and decided to pull a prank on the callous boy. Purposely stumbling as if she was trying to regain her balance. Rolling her eyes to the back of her eyes. The boy stared at her with a worrisome expression unsure of what to do with the girl.

"Are you okay?" The boy semi shouted reaching his hands preparing to catch her if she fell.

He thought she was going to faint until she springs up as if nothing happened. Y/N views his reaction and busted out into a fit of laughter. Struggling to catch her breath as tears builds up in her eyes. The boy realizes it was a joke and slams the door in her face. She didn't even mind it one bit still laughing. The door flings open again and he takes the container shutting the door once again.

The boy glanced at the cookies shaking his head. Chuckling that he was foolish and gullible enough to be fooled by her. He dwelled by the door finding her personality adorable and hysterical. Once y/n gained her strength, she wiped the tears that managed to fall from her eyes lumbered towards her home.
