WHAT y/n didn't know was that Mark was just arriving home when he seen her kiss Jeno's cheek. The two boys rather crossed paths while Jeno was going back home. Mark wondered why Jeno would be at y/n's house so late. Quickly calling out for the boy that was feet away from him."Hey Jeno." Mark shouted.
Jeno turns on his feet, glancing at Mark. He didn't ask any questions and just shuffled back towards the boy he didn't know. Mark smiled amiably, reaching out his hand for Jeno to shake. He glances down at his hand, hesitantly shaking it as he wasn't so sure about him.
"What's up?" Jeno tilts his head.
"You got some time to talk?" Mark asks sitting on the curb.
Jeno follows along with him glancing at his watch which read 8:28. He wasn't really worried for a curfew pretty much. Figuring their talk was just going to be a short one so he didn't mind it that much. Pondering what y/n's neighbor might want with him. Once Jeno sat and got comfortable, Mark began to speak.
"What's your relationship with y/n?" Mark questions.
That same question made Jeno want to ask him that too. Jeno could just imagine what neighbors would do. Never suspected anything of him but the curiosity was still evident.
"I'm her close friend... why? What are you to her?" Jeno remarked.
"You look more than a close friend to me. I saw her kiss you. Consider me as one of her older brothers." Mark replied.
Mark never had any interest in y/n like dating her. He found her cute and wanted to protect her in a brotherly way. He doesn't have a sister so he thinks of y/n as his long lost sister.
"I see." Jeno breathed out.
"You like her don't you?" Mark teased seeing his panicked reaction.
"I guess you can say that." Jeno said scratching his nape.
"There's no shame in that. I trust you with y/n. All I just ask for you, is to just make sure whatever the fuck that dude, Haechan doesn't get her." Mark advises patting Jeno on his shoulder.
While the two sat outside converting with each other, y/n was inside her home deciding whether or not she wanted to look at her phone or to go straight to sleep. Majority ruled and she was pulling her phone to her face reading off the notifications. One in particular caught her attention. An Instagram message.
