THE spring sky was beginning to set, a cool breeze brushing against their skin. Unaware of the weather neither of the two brought a jacket. Jeno only having his uniform blazer as some warmth. Goosebumps arising as they peered over their shoulder. He hands y/n the bag of snacks to hold. Jeno steps towards the gate planting his fingers at the top of the gate, pouncing from the ground swiftly swinging his legs over without hitting his arm and landed on the opposite side of the gate. He wipes his hands on his sides gazing straight through the gate at y/n. Jeno tilts his head, signaling y/n to go ahead and hop over.

Y/N threw the snacks over first. She jumps up to reach the top of the gate placing her foot on top of the no trespassing sign to help her jump over the gate. Jeno catching her and placing her down on the ground safely. Y/N shivered as the adrenaline begins to rush through her veins. Smiling like there was no tomorrow seeing the grass more greener on that side of the gate. Why would there be a trespassing sign here when it just looked to beautiful to be kept away? Lilly flowers sprouting from the ground leading to the darker part of wherever they were.

"Follow me and be careful not to slip." Jeno warns.

"Where exactly are we going?" Y/N asks exhausted from the long walk. Waiting to sit down and eat.
"Right here." Jeno announces spreading his arms revealing a cliff of the cities view. Showing every single light the town provided. The sunset complimenting the lights, the sky getting dark pretty early. It was only 6 in the evening and the sun was already setting. Jeno took off his blazer and laid it on the grass for y/n to sit on. Y/N felt special right then and there. No one, not even Haechan would have done that for y/n. She knew that Jeno was either being too nice or he maybe, just maybe he had some sort of feelings for her.

Y/N sat on his blazer, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around. Jeno sits on the ground placing his hands on his side, shoulders perked upwards. The two of them enjoying the view. Jeno felt that this was the perfect time to get personal as the quietly ate the snacks.

"So, what happened... when you and Haechan broke up? You don't have to tell me if it's too personal." Jeno hesitated.

Y/N admired his respect towards her personal life. They've done enough to have y/n genuinely comfortable around Jeno. She wasn't afraid to talk to him about anything. Heaving a sigh, she rubbed her knees a few times before she answered his question.

"Well it was right after me and him went on a date. He walked me right to the front of my neighborhood. Right there I knew something was wrong. It was a first that he didn't walk me all the way to my home. I told him that I loved him, I really meant it. He told me to go inside and me being stubborn person I was, didn't go inside until I heard him say it back. He didn't say it then he told me he didn't love me anymore and wanted to end it right then and there. And on cue, it began to thunder and rain. Remember how I told you I was afraid of it, he remembered and walked me to my house. And now that I think about it, if it didn't rain that night he wouldn't have done that. He only did it out of spite to get me out of the rain so I wouldn't get sick because of him. I didn't even think about this until now." Y/N put her leg over the other going to place her hand on her sides until her hands brushed against Jeno's.

"Sorry." Y/N apologized.

Jeno grabbed her hand and intertwined their hands together. Y/N glanced down at his hands holding back a smile. Jeno caught her reaction smiling to himself as well. He knew he had her where he wanted her.

"I could feel your pain from just the glance at you. If I'm being honest I would carefully watch over you since you guys broke up. Watching you become the bright and glowing woman you are now. I knew you'd come back, greater than before." Jeno admits. His cloying words sparking up y/n's heart.

The two started to talk about sensitive and personal issues in their lives. Creating a bond that may be inseparable. Jeno let a lot of things off his chest that he never even said to his friends. Trusting y/n with his sensitive topics. Y/N speaking on the things that haven't even got out her mind. The things she constantly worried about. If she was going to find love again or where she was going to go after high school.

"If I'm sure I just know that you're a special person in my life. The first girl that ever came with me to do all of this with. I didn't like bring females along because I was afraid my actions would lead them to being hurt. I've never seen a female willing to do the same things I do. You got yourself a place in my heart." Jeno confesses displaying only a portion of his feelings. Jeno didn't want to tell y/n that he actually liked her. He wasn't ready for it.

"So what you're telling me is you like me?" Y/N joked.

"No comment." Jeno states laughing along with her.

Jeno heard a rustle from farther down the cliff. The noise growing louder and louder by the minute. Y/N snapped her head towards Jeno wondering if he heard the same thing. Jeno eyes widened as his mind thought of any possible thing that could be crawling up the cliff. Y/N didn't hesitate to jolt up gathering the snacks. Jeno springing up along with y/n dashing towards the gate.

"Jeno! Your blazer!" Y/N shouts running back with Jeno to get his blazer then dashing right to the gate hopping it with ease. Their adrenaline pulsing through their veins as they scrambled to their feet to leave the area. Not focusing on anything but to get as far as possible from the area. The citizens of the town wondering why a couple was just running around the town like a monster was chasing after them.

The two arrived at y/n's house quicker than expected. Panting their hearts out. Resting on the curb of the sidewalk. Sweat beading from their hairlines cooling them down by the second. They both glanced at each other in unison before laughing.

"This is going to go down as the scariest night of our lives!" Jeno breathed out.

"Along with the movies! I could have swore I seen them chasing us out the theatre!" Y/N added.

"I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life!" Jeno said as y/n nodded in agreement.

Silence lingered between the two. Either one of them trying to figure who was going to speak first. Y/N was getting exhausted from running even dozing off.

"Go ahead and go to sleep y/n! I don't want you to fall asleep and I'll have to bring you inside." Jeno demands helping y/n get up. Y/N still held his hand, tip toeing to reach Jeno's face as she plants a small kiss on his cheek. She smiled at him before jogging into her home. Informing her mother that she finally arrived at home and was skipping out on dinner. Pushing her room door open and falling right on the bed. Minutes away from being asleep until her phone blows up with several sudden notifications.
