If she hadn't already planned on killing him before, she was sure she would have planned to do it now. While he was describing to her how fast his pharmaceutical company was growing in sales, all she could do was imagine what it would feel like to smash his head against the table with a big loud thud,
or what it would feel like to slice his neck with her table knife and watch it pool with blood,
as it trickled down his suit, making the whole floor flood-
"Darling, are you listening to me?" he locked his eyes on hers, and, in response, she shrugged,
She knew she had zoned out, but she didn't think he would have noticed, considering that he'd been rambling on about only himself for the past hour....She must have misjudged.
"Ofcourse, I'm listening," she replied,
And stop calling me darling, you big old dud!
