The moving silhouettes passed by in a haze and the candles lit ablaze.
She could not see more than that, however, for the candles were the only things lighting the intimate place.
Nonetheless, the lack of sight was anything but an inconvenience to her: she was very well accustomed to the place, and her eyesight would not have delivered to her something she did not already know anyways.
In fact, she may dare say that she was far too accustomed to the place: she was well aware that there must have been a woman wearing a dress that shone brighter than the candles, that same woman whose hair almost always resembled an intricate maze.
And, at a separate table, there must have been two men seated across one another, one of which was mad, desperate, and asking for a raise.
She relished in the sounds of the sharp clicking of forks and knives, and as she laid eyes on the man who just took the seat opposite to hers and held his gaze,
she knew that after his death tonight, she and this beloved place must then go their separate ways.
