"All our dreams can come true-if we have the courage to pursue them."-Walt Disney

"You cannot touch me, Sevastyan," I implore each word. My eyes widen as I realize my slip.

I said his name.

I swiftly turn my back to him and trample through the park, and away from the beast--Sevastyan.

It takes some time, and some berating thoughts, but I eventually compose myself enough to logically justify my predicament.

I am treating it-him- humanely by using its name. I finally have him speaking to me, and the point of this experiment is to reveal the errors of his ways.

Maybe I should explain the rules of society to him. Does he understand how the world works here? If he is just a soldier in the enemy's army, I doubt he had an education. My mission is to accept the outsider, and make him a better creature.

I now see my goal.

I will save this beast.

I will help end this war.

--

He is a step behind me on the sidewalk. The street is empty for the sunny afternoon, surely there is better activities to attend to on this afternoon.

Just breathe Adrianna.

Before I could psych myself out I speak.

"The houses are organized by rank. There is a pattern you will see. It is house, apartment, house, and so on," I glance back to Sevastyan, but quickly avert my gaze. He stares straight at me.

"Once the children are old enough to move out, they live in the apartments. We then move into our parents' house once they pass." I wonder if he is listening as I dig in my pockets for my apartment key.

The lack of response discourages me from divulging more information. Instead, I allow the monster to sit tritely on my couch as I fill in my calendar for the week. He is one dull character.

--

My limbs feel weightless and my dreams are enchanting. That is until I realize I did not reside on a cloud and my comforter, is in fact, moving.

I flutter my eyes to clear the blurriness and am welcomed with the flawless skin of Havva.

I groan. "What are you doing," I question as I wipe drool from my cheek.

"Waking you up, Ady," she smiles innocently.

Innocently enough to alert me; she had to pass the monster to get in here.

"Well good morning," I stray from accusations.

"Good morning to you too," she beams and hops from my bed. "What are your plans for the day?"

I ponder for a moment. "I am dropping by the orphanage around one. But other than that, today's a typical Monday," I hesitate. "Why?"

"Oh!" she giggles. "No reason. Ready to go?"

"Oh," I search around apprehensively. Something is off about her. Maybe she planted a prank? "Let me get ready," I reply slowly as I find nothing suspicious around me.

Havva sits on a plush chair and grabs an old magazine.

I step into the cold room and shiver after I prepared for the day. Then I throw on a light jacket before heading out with Havva at my tail. I quickly backtrack to grab the syringe, though.

"What is that?" Havva stumbles away. I know she despises needles, but she has nothing to worry about.

"For the monster," I explain casually.
