Y/N POV

Blake climbed out of the Jeep and walked to the other side, opening the door for me. I smiled gratefully at her and took her outstretched hand. She helped me step out of the vehicle before I shut the door behind me and she locked it.

She let go of my hand and I found myself immediately missing her warmth. Her hand was a mix of soft and calloused. Not like a mans hand though, rather a very graceful, hardworking hand.

She opened the door to the restaurant and motioned for me to go in. "Thank you." I said shyly, entering the lobby.

Blake walked in behind me and approached the counter. "Hey, may we please have a table for two?" She asked politely.

The hostess seemed to be in a state of shock as she nodded her head dumbly, eyes wide and mouth open. I giggled and Blake winked at me. "Follow me." The woman said, 2 menus in hand as she lead us to a small table by a window.

"C-can I get you guys started with any drinks?"

Blake looked at me expectantly. "Uh I-I'll have a water, please." I smiled at the woman. She nodded and then turned to Blake.

"I'll have an ice tea, unsweetened, please." The hostess nodded aggressively before walking away.

"What's her deal." Blake chuckled.

I looked at her incredulously. "I don't know....." I pretended to think hard. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're Blake Livley?"

"Hmmm....I don't think that's it." She smiled cheekily and I laughed, looking down at the table. I had never been any good at making eye contact. It always made me feel uncomfortable and....seen. I was much happier living in the shadows than the spotlight. Seems kind of stupid considering I'm an actress.

"Let's see what they have." Blake picked up her menu and began to read it. I figured I'd better do the same. There is nothing worse than not knowing what you want when it's time to order.

We read in silence and I decided on just having a salad.

"Are we ready to order?" I looked over at Blake and she smiled, tipping her head as if to say 'you go first'. I smiled and turned to the hostess. I told her my order and it turns out Blake ordered the same thing. We laughed about it after the waitress had left.

"Hey, so I know this is your first time working on like-a super huge production like this, so you know....if you need any help with anything, I'm here." Blake said genuinely. I smiled at her.

"T-thank you."

"So tell me about yourself Y/N." Blake said, a mischievous gleam in her eyes.

I didn't exactly know what to tell her. I didn't want to depress her with my past, and I didn't really want to bore her with my current life.

"W-what do you want to know....?"

"Well did you always want to be an actor?"

"Um..yeah. When I was young I did a lot of theatre at my school. I had always thought of it as more of a hobby though, you know? I guess because I never thought Id be good enough to make it into a career. I guess it worked out." I say, a nervous smile playing on my lips.

"That's cool. I did a lot of plays as well. Have you ever considered, maybe later on, possibly going into directing?"

I thought this was a very interesting question.

"I honestly haven't really thought about it. Up until a few days ago, I didn't even think I'd end up being an actor-one that doesn't just like wade tables their whole career."

Blake laughed and I couldn't help but find it utterly adorable.

"What about you? Did you ever think about doing something besides acting?"

Blake looked thoughtfully for a moment as she contemplated her response.

"Well, ever since I was little, I had always wanted to be a singer. I cant sing to save my life though so that never happened." I smiled. Little Blake must have been the cutest.

"Where are you from?" The blonde woman asked, taking a sip of her ice tea.

"All over really. My family moved around a lot when I was young." I left it at that, not really wanting to go into detail just yet.

Blake nodded. "You?"

"LA. Both my parents worked in show business so I grew up around all this stuff."

"That's cool."

"Yeah, my dad was the person who got me into acting."

I flashed her a small smile, hoping to god she wouldn't ask about my family. Thankfully, the conversation came to an end when our food arrived.

We ate our food in mostly silence, just enjoying the moment. Towards the end of our meal, we talked a bit about our favorite movies and tv shows.

"No! Law and Order SVU is way better than Blue Bloods!" I argued, a wide smile on my face.

"Wrong. Blue Bloods is the best crime show. You can't beat Tom Sellock!" She countered.

"Um, yes, you absolutely can when it's Mariska Hargitay." I crossed my arms, proud of my come back.

A look of playful defeat crossed her face.

"Okay, a true. She is really hot."

My eyes widened at her blunt confession. Of course, I thought the exact same thing.

"Exactly. Get destroyed."

She laughed. "Fine, you win."

"Your bill." The waitress said, depositing the black folder on our table. Both of us reached for it.

"I got it." Blake said.

"Um, no. I got it."

"It's fine, Y/N. I got it."

I shook my head. "Nope."

She was about to object again but I glared at her. She chuckled and raised her hands innocently.

"Thank you." I said, grabbing the folder and sticking my debit card inside.

"Thank you." Blake said.

I smiled and nodded.
