𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐁𝐎𝐘 ~ 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧

first day

The bus gets to the school. I get off the bus. The school is pretty big. I walk inside and try to find the office to get my timetable and stuff.

My phone buzzes in my back pocket. I grab it to look what it is. Then someone bumps into me with high speed. We both fall on the ground.

"I'm so so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going" a male voice says. I sit up and try to get up to be met with a guy with brown hair and brown eyes. I recognise him from something but I just don't know what.

"It's ok" I say. "Are you new here? I've never seen you before" "Yes I just moved here this weekend" "from the US I hear" He smiles. I nod smiling back.

"You need help finding the office?" He asks. "Yes please" i say. "Come on" he starts walking and I follow him.

"So where why were you running?" I ask. He looked at me confused. "You just ran into me remember" I snicker. "Oh that. I thought I was gonna be late but now I have an actual excuse so" he laughs. I laugh to.

We get to the office. "Hey I'm new here" I say to the women who's sitting there. "What's your name?" She smiles. "Olivua Newman" I smile. She looks it up and then stands up.

"Welcome Olivia to our school here is your timetable and lockernumber. Elmo can you maybe show her her classroom?" The lady says looking to the guy who apparently is calle Elmo. He nods. I grab the paper she handed me and thank her before walking over to Elmo.

I hand him the paper. "Oh we have the same class come on it's this way" he says. "I'll show you your locker after okay?" I nod and we walk towards the classroom.

When we walk inside the teacher had already started the lesson.

"Elmo you're late" he says. "Sorry sir but I had to help Olivia" Elmo says before walking to his seat. "Oh class we got a new student, Olivia. Olivia you can sit next to Emily. Emily rais your hand please" the teacher says. A girl in the back raises her hand. I walk towards her.

I put my bag on the ground and sit next to her. "Hi" she smiles. "So you're new here huh?" I nod. "Where are you from?" "The US" i say. "Wow why did you move?" "My dad has a job here now" i say kinda sad. "Oh well that shouls suck leaving all your friends and stuff" she says. I nod. Thinking about it makes me sad.

"But hey we can become friends" she smiles trying to cheer me up. I smile at her. "What do you have after this?" She asks. "Math in 103" i say. "Oh same. We can go together!" She smiles.

We start to actually follow the class. After 30 minutes the class ends. Since we missed the beginning of class it only took 45 minutes. Me and Emily start walking out of the classroom. Elmo walks up to us. 

"You still need help with your locker?" He asks. I open my mouth to answer but Emily cuts me off. "I'll help her" She grabs my hand and pulls me with her. 

"What was that about?" I ask when Emily lets go of my wrist. "Nothing" She says. "Come on that definitely wasn't nothing" I say. "It's just... Elmo is my ex" She says. "Oh" "Yes. He broke up for me after he went on a tour in the US. He met a girl there" "He went on tour. Is he like famous or something?" I ask. Emily nods. "On tiktok" She says. 

Now I know where I recognised him from. He's tiktok famous. He has a girlfriend called Hannah or something. He looks nice but if what Emily says is true then that really was a dick move. 

We get to our classroom and the teacher starts. When our break arrives Emily shows me where my locker is. After I put my stuff in my locker we walk to the cafeteria. I can see Elmo. We make eye contact for a second before he breaks it to talk to his friend. I see him standing up and walking towards me.

"Hey can we talk?" He asks. I look at Emily. She shrugs her shoulders. "Sure" I say. Me and Elmo walk out of the cafeteria. 

"Listen I don't know what Emily told you but I'm not a dick and I want you to know that" He says turning towards me. "Listen you don't have to explain to me what happend. I'm not gonna Judge you by something a girl told me that I don't even know that well" I say. He smiles. "Good" "Can we go back now?" I ask. He nods.

We walk back to the cafeteria. I want to walk over to Emily and her friends but Elmo pulls me with him. "Here the others want to meet you" He says. I can see Emily giving me a dirty look. I look at her confused. She rolls her eyes and goes back to talking to her friends. 

Where did she do that for?? Only because I'm talking to Elmo?? Well if that's the reason then I get why Elmo broke up with her.

We get to Elmo's friends. "Olivia these are Lewis, James, Lily and Tess" Elmo says introducing the people infront of us. "Hi" I say. "Come sit down" Lily says patting the seat next to her. I sit down. "You're from the US rigth?" Tess asks from my other side. I nod. "That's so cool. I really wanna go back soon" Lewis says.

Lewis and James are twins. You can see that from a mile away. Lily and Tess are pretty nice. Tess and James are a couple. It's pretty cute but it makes me miss Nick a lot. I talk to them the whole break. Turns out me, Lily, Tess and James have the same class after this. 

*time skip* 

It's the end of the day. I'm walking to the bus to get back home. I pretty much became friends with Lily and Tess today. It was a good first day. I get on the bus and get home. 

Ofcourse there was no one there. I walk to the kitchen to grab a snack. I find a note on the fridge. 

We're out for a little. We will be back before dinner. 

I put the note away and grab some water before going upstairs. I call Nick to fill him in about my first day. After 2 rings his head pops up on my screen.

"Hey babygirl. How was school?" He asks. "Well-" I start to explain my day.
