Astrid started screaming. I just stood there, shocked. I started walking slowly. I was slow. I started sweating. I felt like running away and hiding so they wouldn't find me. But they would find me.
People start yelling out "NIGHT FURY!" I sigh, and see Diamond jumping on people.
"REECE! Your're not leaving are you!?" She yells out. People grab Diamond and pin her down to the ground. I can't breath. My heart pumps heavily. We are connected. I fall to the ground, and the vikings jump off diamond I stop choking and get up. Diamond runs to me, and I pat her. "Don't worry, Diamond. I will come back for you" I say. I hear whispers from people of "what did he say?" And "what was that language?" I pat Diamond, and gesture for her to stay here, until they release her in the dragon games. She nodds, and I get up and walk slowly to the stage. When I get there, Hiccup is arguing with Valka, cause he doesn't want Raven to be in the arena. Hiccup can't volunteer, because he is like 36 or something, not sure. The age groups are strictly 12 to 18 years old can enter. I am sixteen and Valka entered my name in 34 times. Sucks.
"Reece, please take care of Raven for me" Hiccup whispers to me. I nodd my head. He sighs, and walks back into the great hall. Raven gets on the stage, too. Valka gestures for us to hold hands. I hesitate, as Raven is not my girlfriend, Natalie is. I look at Natalie, and she sighs, then nodds her head. Raven holds her hand out, and I take it. We hold them up in the sky. "REECE AND RAVEN! THE VERY FIRST TRIBUTES, FOR THE VERY FIRST DRAGON GAMES!" Valka shouts out. Everyone is silent. Then we walk off the stage. We have to go pack, and, I need to go say good bye to Natalie. Forever. There is no way I am going to survive the dragon games. But, Hiccup stops me. "Reece, I want you to have this" he says, and he opens his hand. It is a pin with Toothless on an arrow, and a circle. I thank Hiccup, and I head towards Natalie. "Natalie" I hold up her hands " I just wanted to say, that even when I am in Vallhalla, I will still remember you" a tear rolls down her face. I look away, and start crying. I climb my treehouse, with very hard, and efficiant work. I finally get up there, and start packing clothes. I pack a lot of things, because I am going to be in the capitol for a month. I finally pack everything. Then, I remember the pin Hiccup gave to me, and put it on. I grab my stuff, and jump out of the tree. I walk tp a long thing that looks like a snake. I walk up to Valka and say "what is that?" "We call it a train" she answers back. I have no idea how it works, but I get on it. It seems to be on some sort of track that goes under water. When I hope on, I look back, and see all my friends waving to me. The door closes, and the train starts moving. I panic and go to the window. I bang on it, but it won't budge. I slowly fall to the ground, in sadness. I will miss them. Suddenly, a drunk man walks in. "Hey, what are you doin' in here!" He yells at me, "Your soppossed to be in the living room!" I get up and walk to the living room. I see Raven on one of the chairs. Valka is here. "Sit down, Reece" she whispers. I sit down, and I look at the cookies. They smell delicious. I look at Valka, and she nodds her head. I take one, and nibble on it, so it can last longer. Once I finishe that, I push my chair out, and say,
"Valka, do you know where my room is?" She nodds, and stands up. She walks out of the room, and I follow her. She stops, looking outside a cabin. I guess it is my cabin. I walk my way in front of her, and go inside. It smells like chocolate. I look at the walls, and it has a wallpaper that looks like a forest. One of the places I feel comfortable. Well, maybe they just put the wallpaper on.
I start getting undressed. I look in my cupboard. A shirt, a jumper with the number 24 on it, and some jeans. There is also a basket to put my old clothes in. I put my clothes in there, and they set on fire. "What! Wait, NO!" It is too late. They burn up, ashes now. I had Valka make those clothes. I then realise, I might Valka to make more, if I come out of the Dragon Games alive. I shrug my sholders, and start putting on my new clothes. They fit, I don't know how. And I put my jumper on.
I walk back to the kitchen cabin, and I sit down. "Where is Raven?" I ask.
"In her cabin getting dressed" Valka answers. I take another cookie, and stuff it into my jumper when Valka is not looking.
"I feel bad. We get to pig out on heaps of food" I say, "Berk's food" I add. Berk must be starving now. Raven comes out of her cabin. She is in the exact same clothes as me, except on her jumper, she has got the number 23. Wow. I feel. Amazed. We are going to enter an arena, die, and get our own number. Raven sits down. She stuffs a cookie in her jumper too. I just lay my head back, and close my eyes. Then, I remember the man. I push my head up. "Who was that man?" I ask.
"Dylan" Raven replies. I wonder how she knows that. I look at her eyes, and then I think of Diamond. Diamond. Probably scared to death right now. Stuck in a cage. All alone, except for Wisp. She must miss Raven, too. The train stops. "Umm, Valka, the train stopped. Is something wrong?" I ask.
"Step outside, Reece" she answers. I look at the place. All fancy pants.
"Reece. Welcome to the Capitol"
