After my Prep team and I are done preparing my costume for a parade in a weeks time, a peacekeeper takes me to my room. He leaves me when I sit on the bed, facing the huge thing they call a TV. The TV switches on, and it has a camera man on it. "This is the conversations we had with every one on Berk. He turna the camera around. It has a lady. She puts her three middle fingers to her mouth, thwn holds it up in the air. The sign that means we have lost something special, and protected something with our life. They have lost me, and I protected all the children of 12 with my life. "Is that all you have to say?" Says the camera man. She nodds her head. It switches to another conversation. They do the same. It switches and the same again. Again, and again, and again. People keep doing it. The second last person is Hiccup.
"Reece, I, I will miss you" tears stroll down his face "and, I promise to protect Natalie if any harm is done. And, please protect Raven. I don't want to lose her. And I don't want to lose you. I, I gave you that pin, because my father gave it to me. He said it has good luck, and if I was ever to lose it, a dragon would always find it, and bring it back to me.
Because it is a pin, of, of a true cheif" Hiccup says. He puts his three middle fingers to his mouth, then to the sky. Tears roll down my face. Next is the worst coversation of all. Natalie. The last one. I take a deep breath. It comes on, and it shows Natalie just standing there, still. Not moving, at all. A tear strolls down her face. On strolls down mine.
"I, I, Reece. You, you have been amazing, these past months. I havn't known you for a year yet, and I probably won't and if you die, I promise I will commit suicide. I promise, Reece. Why did you have to go to the stage, why did you have to get chosen, why do the gods hat me, I need to know. Why?" She says "why does this have to happen. Whatever happens in the arena, please win for me, please. I don't care about that Raven girl, or anyone else in the arena. You have to win for me. You have to". Great, now there is Natalie saying I have to win, after Hiccup asked if I could get Raven to win. Now I have to kinda cut myself in half, one half to destroy, and the other to win with. The Dragon Games this year are going to be hectic. I sigh. Natalie walks away, but then comes back down. She slowly puts her three middle fingers on her mouth, then to the sky. She then walks off. Forever.
"Goodbye to everyone back on Berk" I say to myself.
