I gather Rue in the morning. "Rue, I have a plan that will really piss Aven off"
We collect some leaves, and make some campfires. "Look, Rue, once yoy set these on fire, they will smoke like crazy, so move onto the next one really fast" I say.
"Ok, but we need something to signal we are ok" she whistles. Thw mockingjays repeat it. I laugh. I play my own tune, and she nodds. All the Mockingjays repeat it. I laugh again.
"Alright?" I ask. She nodds. I hop onto Diamond, and fly to bushes around the Cornucopia. I look, and the whole group of Careers are there. I smile.
Rue sets one fire off, and the other comes to life. I smile even harder. I have a grin, now. The Careers see it, and run toward sit. Aven stays behind with another guy. "You stay here! If anything happens, I will kill you! We have a year's worth of supplies!" He yells, then runs off. The guy sits down on his chair. I am about to run at the stuff, but am stopped by a girl running towards it.
She runs towards it, then does all of these summersaults. I don't know why. Then I see the piles of dirt. Must be the mines. She fets to it, and take a bunch of pears. She then summersaults away. I sigh, and grav out my dagger.
I see a bag of apples, and aim at it. I throw, and slice a little bit. But not enough. I throw again, but miss. I get ready for the third throw. I hear cracks, and hide. Aven and his gang come back. I gasp, and get lower so I can try and see them under the bush. I watch. They see the third fire, and go after it. I give huge smile. I grab my third dagger out, and aim.
I get a little closer, atleast a meter away from the mines. I throw the dagger. It hits the rope. Rip, rip, rip, rip, rip.
A simple apple falls out, and hits a mine.

BEEP

BEEP
It beeps, rapidly. I run, and it explodes.
BOOM
I hit the ground. The Careers come back. "Why are the supplies destroyed?" Aven lets out with pure anger. I realise I am deaf in my left ear. I can only hear through my right.
I scramble up onto my feet, and try to run. I just fall over again. I call Diamond, and she flys to me. Aven looks around and sees me. He turns back to the gaurding man. He grabs his neck, and pulls it down onto his knee. He killed him.
Aven looks at me again. He runs towards me, the other Careers following. I grab onto Diamond's handle, and pull myself up. She bursts out flying. Aven throws a spear, and we dodge it.
We land in the forest. I do my whistle, waiting for Rue to respond. She doesn't respond. "REECE! REECE! PLEASE HELP ME!" I hear a scream. Rue's voice. I run towards the everlasting words, and see her on the ground, underneath a rope with boulders on the ends. I cut the rope free, and she climbs out.
"Well, well, well. Look who we have here" a guy from district 1 comes up and throws a spear. He misses me, and I throw a dagger at him, then I shoot an arrow. I hit him twice with both. He falls to the ground, dead, and I turn around.
I look in horror as Rue has the spear through her stomach.
