Living life was hard in Berk, after the first annual Dragon Games. The Capitol came and took over. They put fences around the forests, rumours that its electrified, they took most of Berks food, leaving them little that would only feed a cat for a month, and they took all of Berk's Pride.
Things were definitely changed.
But, things got better, a little bit. Reece started hunting, made a new friend called Lopaz, and together they fed the people of Berk.
And, after Reece and Raven won the Dragon games, the people of Berk, now known as District 12, got one packaging a month that through the whole year, would fill everyone for 2 whole years.
Yes, Berk was now District 12. And all the other districts were the only one of the levers. The Capitol was another lever. The food problem was another. Every Problem was a lever. A lever to Destruction.
And, another thing Reece, and all the other citizens of Berk, didn't know, was that all around the world, their were other Dragon Games going on. Every Island in the whole world had been contributed with 12 others, and had 24 tributes contribute with one another. Confusing, I know. Because once, I was in the games. I didn't make it. But, I made a great friend with Reece.
My name is Rue. I was from District 11, Envdor. The home of Gardening, and Mockingjays.
And, there is something I whispered in Reece's ear, just before I passed away. Words that the Capitol removed from the footage they showed. The words were:
"If we burn...
...You burn with us"
