The siren goes. I run off to try and get the bow and dagger pack. I get a diffrent pack instead. Another boy is holding on to it, so it is like tug-a-war. He coughs out blood, and falls to the ground. A dagger comes up through his body. I grab the pack, and run. A girl chases me. I turn around, and throw the first stick I grab. I run off after that, and she throws a dagger into my bag. Thats a dagger off my list.
I run far off into the woods. I see a tree, and I climb it. I rest on a thick branch. I put my bag down, and look through it.
An umbrella
A rain jacket
Some bandages
A bottle. I open up the lid to drink, but there is no water.
A net
A rope
Of course, I already have my jacket on that says 24. I take it off, and put it into the bag. I stuff everything into the bag.
Suddenly, I see a girl fall down from a higher branch, and hit my branch. I look at her, and she has an arrow through her throat. Too late for her.
Then, my branch starts cracking. I climb down the tree, and run away, as the tree falls over. I look at the other trees, and see a dark figure in them, running really fast. I shake my head, and I keep running.
I find a river, and take a bath. While in there, I see a group of people called the Careers. Raven is with them. I hide under the water as the walk past me. "We need to kill that boy!" Yells one. That reminds me.
Flashback
I was getting ready for my test, and I heard a girl crying. She said to her friends, that she got a zero, because she got early information.
I walked in, and every one was looking at me. All of the gamemakers. I pick up the bow. I shoot an arrow, and it misses the target. They all laugh, and turn their attention to the roast pig with an apple inside of it's mouth, that just arrived. They all murmer things like "where to start?". I feel disgusted. I throw a dagger at the board, and they ignore. I got a perfect head shot. I feel angry, and throw a dagger at the pigs apple. The apple is tied to the body, and the whole body is stuck to the wall, because the dagger shot the apple into the wall. I put the other daggers back.
"Maybe you should pay attention!" I yell out. I get sweaty. I stomp out of the room.
End of Flashback
I come up, cause I can't hold my breath anymore, and they all hear me take my enourmes breath. I burst the breath and start running. I run far, but stop at a tree and climb up. I hesitate at the bottom because of the girl. I hear a bang. Another. 4 more times. 6 dead. 18 left. Including the Careers. I pull out the rope, and the rain jacket. I tie myself to the tree, and use the jacket as a blanket. I fall asleep.
