"Get your hands off me!" I struggle to get free from his grasp.

His hand tightens around my arm, stopping the blood flow. I push away the thoughts of his hand being imprinted on my skin, marking.

"Ms. McKenzie, I'm sure you're aware that I'm not a patient man. Don't test me." He tosses his cigarette butt to the ground and crushes it beneath his shoe.

"What are you going to do with me?"

"I'm not sure yet. I think the fun is in the surprise." He smiles.

I spit in his face. "Surprise."

With a scowl, he wipes the saliva from his face and slaps me. My ear starts ringing and my cheek throbbing. He takes a deep breath as if he's trying to compose himself.

"Please excuse my quick temper. My mother always told me it was going to get me into trouble."

My mouth fills with the bitter taste of blood. I swallow it down and grimace.

"Now, get into the car, Ms. McKenzie." He opens the door.

"Why prolong this, huh? Just kill me now. You didn't seem to have a problem with it when you killed that woman or Clark!" I stall.

Someone has got to be wondering where I am by now.

"I killed Clark because he was nothing but scum." He snaps.

"And that woman?" I challenge.

"That's none of your concern. Just know she had it coming. I shall remind you that I'm not a patient man." His grip on the car and my arm turns his knuckles pale.

Even though I don't want to show my discomfort, my hand pulls on his.

"You're a monster."

"Get into the car."

"Help!" I scream, no longer believing someone will find me in time.

I open my mouth to scream again, but the cool barrel presses against my temple. My voice withers away.

"Get into the car. Now." He speaks through clenched teeth.

Not having much of a choice, I do. He slams the door shut and grumbles to himself. I reach across the seats and lock his door. He glares down at me and pulls out his car keys.

He clicks the button and the doors unlock, but I quickly lock it back. He cries out angrily and tries again. For another time, I lock the door back.

"Stop this! Stop this right now!"

If this wasn't a life threatening situation, this would be quite comical. He presses the button again. Before I can flip the lock switch, he points his gun at the window.

"Touch it and I'll blow your brains out."

Why is he prolonging this? Why not kill me now? What more can he want from me?

Keeping the gun on me, he opens the door and slides in. I move as far away from him as I can.

"I can see what he was ranting about. You're quite annoying."

"Lea?"

I look out the back window to see Agent Rogan with his gun held up and Jonas behind him. Ian growls next to me.

"Seems like you're not as stupid as you look though."

I glare at him. He roughly grabs my arm and pulls me over to his side of the car. I have to sit in his lap before he pushes me out of the car with him behind me.
