"You saw me in a way the world never will.

You loved me in a way I never can.

You are mine and I'm yours

Stay here.

Stay with me.

Safe in my arms.

Safe in my heart."

The crowd cheers once the music drifts to silence. I smile and bow.

"Lea McKenzie, ladies and gentlemen." Tara smiles.

I join her on her couch.

"Thank you so much for coming out tonight."

"Thank you for having me."

"I've heard you're hard woman to interview."

I shrug. "It's been hard trying to get back into the lifestyle for the past couple of months and I needed to cope with everything."

Tara nods. "I'm sorry for your loss."

I smile sadly. It wasn't so much as a loss. No one knows what really happened except that Clark died and I dropped off the map to take some time to myself.

"Thank you. He was like family to me."

"Is kind of hard trying to picture your new single Loving You is about him." She switches topics.

I blush. "It isn't."

"Oh? Who's the lucky guy?"

"Just someone I knew."

"No name? Come on, Lea. Your fans have been dying to know who it's about." Tara prods.

"My lips are sealed." I grin.

The tabloids have been trying to figure who it's about for weeks, but haven't come close.

"Well, maybe you'll tell a fan from the audience."

A girl with a mic stands up. I tuck my hair behind my ear. I still wear it short with the caramel locks. John says it shows my new attitude and I feel like it depicts the new me correctly.

Plus, it helps me remember the girl I pretended to be in Texas.

"Hi, my name is Angela. I'm a huge fan." Angela chuckles nervously.

I smile. "Thank you."

I have changed. My smiles aren't plastic. I don't feel like this is a chore. I honestly thought my career was over once I came back to New York, but it was like my fans were just waiting for me to come home.

My new album, Marble is at the top of the charts. Critics have said it's more soulful and gives a side of me that no one realized.

"What made you change your style in your music?" Angela asks.

I cross my legs. "Well, losing my agent and coming back from my break, I had a lot of life changing things to alter who I am which changed how I approach my music. Marble is a homage to all those that helped me through the difficult time I'd gone through."

Another girl stands. "Hi, my name is Anna Claire. Will we be expecting more like Marble?"

"I don't know. I hope so."

This time a guy stands up. The light blocks his face. "You say Marble is a tribute to the people who helped you, did you thank them in person?"

The voice sounds familiar, but I just shake it off. "No, but I hope they can get it through my music."
