"Shit i can't even believe we came back from that!" Carl said grabbing a drink and leaning against the wall with Kayla clinging to his arm completely off her face already. "I know, i'm just surprised we got through the match without anyone having a fight, i thought Luke would have been up and after their 14 after he knocked him down like that." Bruiser laughed. Don't ask why he's called Bruiser, because i haven't got a clue.
Mikey was god knows where probably having sex with a random girl in Luke's spare room as always. Ashton was stuck with Kayla and Luke was on the sofa with Cleo and her friend. I looked over the room at the three sitting on the sofa. Cleo and Luke looked rather occupied while her friend sat next to them looking quite bored.
"Do you know who she is over there?" I asked Ashton butting into his conversation with the other lads. He wiggled his eyebrows and detatched Kayla from his arm for a moment. "Yeah she's Erin Britton, she was a cheerleader at one point but quit cause of her grades or something." Ashton said shrugging. "Why you interested?" Ashton nudged me. "No she just looks really bored, Luke and Cleo are about fucking infront of her." Ashton rolled his eyes and turned back to Kayla.
Good friend he is. I sighed and tried to gather up all the confidence in myself, which isn't really much and go over to her to see if she was alright. But my feet wouldn't move and i called myself horrible names in my head. Eventually when my legs listened to my brain and i made it through the crowd of people to the sofa Luke and Cleo had gone off somewhere else and Erin was sat alone.
I eventually plopped myself down next to her, the drink in my hand slightly spilling over the side and onto my leg. I saw her look at me from the corner of my eye but she quickly looked away in the same direction as me. Forward. Neither of us said a word, both of us sitting in silence staring straight forward into the group of people. "I like your shirt." I said leaning to the side closer to her so she could hear me over the music that had been recently turned up because someone had shouted 'this is my jam!' "Its just plain white though?" she said back. "I mean this one." I replied lifting the red and black sleeve of her flannel that was tied around her waist from her leg and dropping it back down soon after.
"Oh" She said, although it came out as more of a mumble than anything else. And she blushed slightly. The redness of her cheeks being pretty obvious since her skin's pale. "Calum Hood" I said after a short slience between us. "I know. Erin Britton." She said back with a pause. "I know" I smiled. "I saw you sitting here with Cleo and Luke, so i thought i'd come keep you company. You know since they were practically giving everyone a show." She blushed again, neither of us had looked each other in the face within the time we'd been talking.
"Knight in shining armour you are." She said, sarcasm dripping from her voice. "I prefer to be called Batman or something like that, knight in shining armour sounds too Disney for me." I said back earning a laugh from her. "Fine Batman. Are you going to entertain me or just bore me to death on this sofa?" She quipped. I quickly grabbed her wrist and stood up, pulling the small brown haired girl up with me. "Well that depends on what kind of entertainment you want." I laughed into her ear, earning another eyeroll and a smack on the back of the head.
"I didn't mean it like that. Gosh boys are so dirty minded." She groaned. "Shall we go for a walk?" I offered finally turning to look at her. Her green eyes looked up at me through her eyelashes, she must be a few inches smaller than me and her long brown hair sat in a ponytail falling down her back, with her fringe sweeping across her forehead. "Fine with me" She smiled letting me lead the way through Luke's basement and upstairs.
"Maybe i should text Cleo, let her know i've gone.." She said as she stopped at the front door. "Not being funny Erin, but i highly doubt she'll look at her phone tonight." I laughed, i think it took a few seconds for her to catch on, but when she did her face turned the same shade of pink as it did earlier.

"Do you really think she'll stay at Luke's?" We'd been walking for around 30 minutes when Erin decided it was too cold and that we should go to the coffee shop near her house, because its always open late and apparently its amazing even though she had my football jacket on. "She's your friend, do you think she'll stay at Luke's?" She took a sip of the hot chocolate i had brought even though she refused. "Probably." She shrugged. "I know Luke's liked her for a while, they're in the same English class, he used to go on about her at lunch all the time, i mean he said she had a hot friend too but she's alright i guess." I smirked at her, and she just flipped me off.
"Good one Hood." She fake laughed and kicked me under the table. "No way to treat your batman now is it?" I laughed putting my hands round the warm cup of hot chocolate in front of me. "Shut up. You know i've never really seen you round school." School. What a bag of shit. "Yeah, i get on with my work and go to football practice. Coach is some discipline freak, we're not allowed to get into any shit at school, our grades need to be boarderline perfect or he wont let us play. I didn't know you were a cheerleader either." She shrugged at the comment of her being a cheerleader.
"It just got too much, my grades were aweful, i was so focused on the football watches and stuff it just got on top of me." I replied with a simple 'oh' not knowing what else to say. Not too long later we'd finished our hot chocolates, i checked the time. 11:40pm. To say it was a Friday night i needed to get home or back to Luke's pretty soon before i got locked out. I walked Erin to her house, surprisingly got her phone number and left, telling her i'd pick my jacket up off her Monday at school.
