Ten years later...
Wind whistled as a large snowstorm was brewing, making the sign on the run-down orphanage shake, banging violently against the building. The building itself was in horrible disrepair, making many of it's inhabitants and neighbors refer to it as "Hellhouse".
It was run by Mr. Rich, a tall, pale man that looked half dead, which was why most of the inhabitants referred to him as "Death". He was a miserable old man who took it out on the residents of his orphanage.
You took a deep breath as you walked out of the old building, taking in the scent of the cold chill of the morning. For the first time in 10 years, you were finally free!
You looked back at the orphanage and waved at all the children that waved and called out to you. Turning back, you saw Sam and Dean Winchester, your honorary brothers, the both of them leaning on Baby, Dean's car.
Seeing them gave you a sense of excitement. The brothers were the one constant in your life.
When you had woken up all those years ago, you had been found by the brothers. They had told Death about you and you had been asked a series of questions, not one of which you seemed to be able to answer.
You had been taken to a doctor who had diagnosed you with amnesia. There was no telling when you'd regain your memory, if ever.
The only thing you seemed to remember was your name, (n/n), as well as remembering some family in Paris. People all over Paris were contacted but no one seemed to know where you belonged. No one in Paris was missing a child.
So you were left in the orphanage, living alongside the Winchester brothers who took you under their wings and became your honorary brothers. From that day forward, you referred to yourself as (n/n) Winchester.
You took another deep breath before you rushed over, right into the arms of your big brothers. They each returned the hug, glad to see you again. You were now 18 years old, three years younger than Sam who was now 21, and six years younger than Dean who was now 24. Each had left when he turned 18 and you hadn't seen either since, your only contact being the few phone calls you got from them --once a week since they left.
"Hey, sweetheart." Dean said with a smile. "You ready to go?"
"You betcha." You said.
"Well then come on." Sam added.
"Where would you like to go?"
"Paris. I want to find my family."
The brothers looked at one another. "Paris it is then."
You each got in Baby and took off down the road.
* * * * *
You had scarcely got down the road when Dean stopped to fill Baby up. You and Sam had gone into the convenience store/diner to get some food and figure out your next plan of action.
Sam was typing away on his computer and finally spoke up, "So, sis, what's the plan exactly?" The question caught you by surprise. Sam, noticing the look, elaborated, "I mean...I get that you wanna find your family and all that. Believe me, if Dean and I could, we'd find our parents...if they weren't y'know...gone gone. But I'm just saying. Where in Paris is your family? What family member is it?"
"I don't know." You stated quietly. "I never really thought about all that. I just remember someone...someone gave me this necklace." You pulled out the necklace you'd had longer than you could remember. It was a gold and silver chain that held a key. "I get a warm feeling when I think of the person. They must've loved me right?"
"Then why did they go to Paris?" Sam asked. "And how can we find someone when we don't know who we're looking for?"
"There has to be someone who can help us. Someone who knows where I came from. Or someone with the power to find out."
Sam began typing something on his computer then his eyes widened. "Sam, what is it?" You asked.
That's when Dean walked in. "What's up? We gotta plan or what?"
Sam then spoke, "So get this: apparently there is someone that can help us. The Archangel Gabriel." He turned his computer around to show them. "These guys look familiar to you, Dean?"
Dean's eyes widened. "That's the guys that saved our asses the night our parents died!"
Sam nodded. "Gabriel and his younger brother, Castiel. Apparently, they were friends with our parents or something and helped us escape from whatever situation we were in that night. According to this, they were last seen a couple states away, living in an old abandoned house. Both angels and archangels are quite powerful. They could help us."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Dean said.
You stared at the picture of Gabriel. He looked familiar somehow but you couldn't put your finger on why...
"(N/n)?" Sam called your name, breaking you from your thoughts. "What do you think? This is up to you."
You looked at your brothers then at the picture that seemed to give you a warm feeling and said, "Let's do it."
With that, the three of you took off once more.
